Unfortunately we didn’t get any check in instructions, so we had to call them to send a guy to check us in. He didn’t speak a word of english, so the information was rather lacking.
He tried, via google translate to tell us he would clean the rooms.. but in the end we had to ask for it… that ment ‘making our beds’ but not cleaning the floor or taking out the trash or restocking toiletpaper, etc.
Also the shower cabin was so small, thet it would only fit a child.

"Pænt hotel og meget fin service. Hyggeligt at spise i haven om aftenen. Menukortet var ikke stort, men kvaliteten var god. Udmærket om end ikke luksus morgenmad.
Der stod om hotellet på hotels.com, at der var gratis flaskevand og adgang til kaffe på fællesområdet, men det fandt vi ikke, og vi betalte 2,5 EUR pr flaske vand.
Poolområdet er hyggeligt, men mindre end det ser ud til på billederne."

"It’s a beautiful small property with a very cool design. Fairly rustic though and with a bit of a farmhouse feel and therefore maybe not for everyone. Managers and owners Giacomo and Paola are both fantastic. Giacomo in particular was a superstar, passionately speaking about the wines of the winery and the region, giving us great restaurant recommendations and really going above and beyond with a smile. "

"Cosa si può scrivere di questa struttura, se non magnificare l'eccellenza? Veramente difficile trovare il classico "pelo nell'uovo". Abbiamo usato la SPA (ad uso esclusivo), abbiamo cenato al ristorante (decisamente tra i top dell'intera Sicilia), abbiamo goduto di una sistemazione confortevole e rilassante. Questa è una delle "experience" da provare almeno una volta nella vita."

"While the views from our room were spectacular, the ceiling height was lacking. Beams everywhere criss-crossed the room presenting great challenges in navigating the room (particularly at night). As arragont as it sounds, most people spoke a little English, but these hosts didn’t know more than 2 words and seemed annoyed by everything. We tried to avoid interacting with them. "We enjoyed our short but very sweet night at Palazzo Privatera. We arrived on the heels of Cyclone Henry, so much of the town was shut down, but our host Alfio was extremely insightful and helpful. He showed us around this mideivel treasure, hosted a wonderful breakfast, and made our stay so comfortable! Wish we would have had more time to enjoy the amazing property and town, but hope to return in the future to enjoy more of Mt Etna’s beauty and vineyards!"
