It's not a fancy place, and breakfast options are simple English breakfast fare, but overall this is a gem of a place if you're hiking or exploring Peak District, especially if you need parking. We appreciated the family room option with a bunk bed for the kids and double for the adults. Note, this is not a good option for persons with mobility issues (stairs)."

"Stayed here 2 nights. The chef Elvis outdoes himself with Michelen star quality meals. The Crab Salad and Pork Rigatone were faultless. Best meals I have eaten in Europe. Friendly bar staff and spacious room with first class bathroom. Mattress needs replacing though."

"This B&B is exceptional, full of character, spacious, clean, welcoming, run fantastically well by a lovely family - I highly recommend. The full English breakfast was exceptional and served by the granddaughter so lovingly and efficiently. Will be staying again every time in the Stockport area from now on. "All was great, but I must say that the breakfast was not made that good. But it was a nice stay, and I would probably go here again.
The dinner was OK, I had fish and chips. The fish was a bit overcooked, and the chips were good on the outside but dry on the inside.
With slightly better food, this would be 5 stars for the price"
