"The people at sol del oriente are some of the kindest staff ive ever met. They were super punctual and always happy to lend a helping hand. Big shoutout to darlene and juan-carlos for their hospitality! The only cons I have are of the room, the rooms are definitely showing ageing and water pressure and water temperature were an issue. However, at the end of the day, the room was still fairly comfortable and very affordable. Absolutely amazing proximity to wanchaq station."

"We arrived and were told that there was not warm Water in the rooms and they wanted to send us to a sister hotel, for 2 out of our 5 days stay, in order to fix the Water problem.
Realising that the sister hotel was much further away from the centre and a much worse standard, we asked to change after the first night, since the rooms all had White curtains, were very Cold and impossible to sleep in beyond the break of dawn.
That is when we realised that there was no problem with the warm Water,...

"Very friendly and service minded staff. I needed to bath my foot every day and they willingly found a bucket and brought boiling water to the room every night. The hotel is generally a bit cold. However, it did have hot water in the shower, which has not been a given at the hotels we have stayed at in Peru.
The kitchen chef was also very nice and prepared freshly cut fruit for us upon her own suggestion.
