"The Tollgate Inn was absolutely amazing! We hoped to stay at a traditional English Pub, and we got blown away 🤗 We stayed in the Cottage across the parking lot. A beautiful place with kitchen, parents bedroom, bathroom upstairs and a small yard with table and chairs. The food at the Inn was great. The atmosphere as well. We can only recommend a stay at this fantastic place. As others write, yeah - there is sometimes noise from the traffic, but the rest over rules that fact "

"This hotel is very cute and exactly what we needed. We had rooms on the top floor that were quite comfortable. I will say if you have problems with stairs. Or a lot of luggage, ask for a room in the lower floor. Lugging our bags up the three+flights of narrow stairs was a bit of a strain. "

"The guest house is in a lovely location, quite rural, but with a good size town within 10min drive. The property is clean and welcoming. The host is easy to deal with and very helpful. The double room was bright ans spacious. The ensuite had a powerful shower."

"Big, clean comfortable room, ideal for a family of 4. Staff were excellent and food at dinner and breakfast were really good - a good step up from standard pub food. Home made cookies, and crayons and activity sheets for the kids in the room were a lovely addition."
