"This is a traditional Korean place. Meaning, there is no bed as you sleep on a thin mattress on the floor with one good blanket. However, it is a good experience on how the people have lived and slept before modernism has taken place. It makes you appreciate the present more. The guest will wait for you at the door when you arrive. It’s a good experience overall. "

"I booked this hotel for 2 weeks and it was my base to come back to after shorter trips to other cities in Korea. It's so easy to get to from the 6015 airport bus and is also close to many other bus stops and Myeongdong metro station. My room was super comfortable although the air conditioning was a bit tricky to get working properly and sometimes I'd get blasted with cold air in the middle of the night. But that's a minor thing for me because I don't mind the cold. The room was a bit small and though it was perfect for me as a solo traveller, it might be quite cramped if there are two of you. Also there isn't all that much space for luggage and shopping even if you don't have that much. I didn't get to try the rooftop bar because I was just so busy, but next time I'll definitely make time because the view from my 19th floor room alone was amazing so I can imagine it's even better up there. The restaurant has quite limited food options, but you're in Myeongdong, so this is not really a problem. The hotel is very clean and although I didn't really speak to the staff, they were very friendly on the occasions that I did. I'd definitely recommend the Ibis to others and I really hope to go back there in the near future. "
