Beautiful home and a great place to stay! It was clean, comfortable, and the pool was fantastic. The host was friendly and easy to communicate with.Just know the neighborhood is very quiet, so you’ll want to keep outdoor noise to a minimum. If you’re looking for a relaxing family getaway, this is a wonderful spot. We’d happily stay again!

The host charged extra because we accidently left the hot tub open one night, which I paid, but this also told us that they are WATCHING you in the hot tub and back yard area. If you are hoping for a private hot tub and pool area, then this is not it. Upon booking, they mention cameras in the front of the house, but should probably also emphasize that you're being watched in the hot tub and pool. The hot tub looked like it could probably use a fresh clean anyway.

My mom and I enjoyed a great trip to Chico to visit my son at Chico state. The location is perfect, close to downtown. The home is very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Owners were quick to get back to us with any questions and very accommodating. We will definitely stay there again.

Our family traveled to Chico to celebrate the holiday season. The hosts put a wreath on the front door and a vintage tree in the living room as an extra touch. The home was very roomy and comfortable for our party of six. The hot tub was glorious ….. under the giant redwood trees. Quiet, peaceful and restorative vacation. The beds, pillows and linens were all very comfortable too (which rarely is the case). Will definitely be staying at this beautiful home again in the future.

Beautiful setting

Good location and we enjoyed our daily morning walks around the neighborhood. Our favorite aspect of our stay was lounging in the backyard looking at the glorious redwood trees while listening to the waterfall! (And fun frogs croaking at night) The views from the comfortable upstairs suite were a bonus!

One of the best times of my life!!!!! My family made the trip up from the Bay Area to see Chico as my partner did back in her college day's. We got lucky when we found this amazing house. Laurie was always available to chat before, during, and after our stay. I enjoyed the history of the house. When we went for a walk down in the beautiful neighborhood one of the neighbors told us all about Dotty.

Retro reunion

Definitely a retro feel in an older neighborhood but a well built, well loved house. It was very comfortable and well equipped. Loved the landscaping and the hot tub. Would have loved the pool but it was too cold to get in. Would definitely stay there again.

Perfect place to stay with family

Our family had a great time swimming, relaxing in the hot tub under the redwood trees, playing cornhole, grilling, and enjoying the beautiful property. This home is located in a nice neighborhood and is close to a store. The bedding was comfortable and the home was stocked with everything we needed. Thank you for a great place to stay.

Tranquil Chico home

Dot’s house is a dream and the owners/manager were great to work with. The house was immaculately clean, everything we needed was provided and in excellent condition, and the outdoor pool area was serene. The beds were amazingly comfortable too. We will definitely be renting Dot’s place again soon.

Another Great Stay at Dot's House

We had a great time during our second stay at Dot's house. The house is clean, well maintained, has a great backyard and is in a wonderful, quiet neighborhood. Laurie is super responsive to any questions or issues that come up -- you can tell that she and her family care about the property and want everyone to have a great time there. My family is looking forward to another stay at Dot's house next summer!

Perfect house for a family gathering!

We loved the spaciousness of the living room/kitchen/dining area, the comfort of the bedrooms, and the overall aesthetics of the house. The kitchen was well organized and met all our cooking and dining needs. Although it was winter and we couldn't use the pool, we still enjoyed the quiet natural surroundings--and the hot tub!
