Our Goodwood Events house is a spacious property and offers a great base for families & friends to explore the local area. For those attending a Goodwood event, this is a great location, just a short, 10 minute drive away. Recently renovated and extended, the bungalow is modern, unique & stylish. Our 2 bedroom property benefits from a large enclosed garden with patio & BBQ. Located just a short drive from Chichester & nearby wonderful beaches along the South Coast including West Wittering. There is parking on the driveway for 2 cars.
The whole living area is on one level. Upon entering the bungalow there is a spacious hallway.
On the left is the master bedroom with a large bay window, overlooking the front of the property. This lets in lots of natural light and has shutters on the windows. The bedroom is very spacious and benefits from a king size bed and a large 48″ smart TV.
Straight ahead of you upon entering is the second bedroom which has a double bed. This room also looks out to the front of the property and has a 42″ smart TV and also a small desk and chair, ideal for using a laptop computer.
Along the hallway from the bedrooms on your right before you reach the kitchen is a shower room with a walk in shower, toilet and sink. The shower has a handheld shower attachment and a fixed shower attachment. The bathroom is modern and light with a tiled floor and heated towel rail.
If you carry on along the hallway you will come to the large open plan space consisting of the kitchen and utility, lounge and dining area. This opens out to the garden at the back of the bungalow.
The social space of the open plan living area is bright, spacious and modern. Modern and vibrant artwork is on the walls throughout.
The living rooms has two single recliner chairs and a small sofa surrounding a 48″ smart TV with Sky.

The living area overlooks the dining space which has a large stone dining table and 4 chairs. Above the dining table is a skylight letting in lots of natural light and a colourful lightshade. From the dining area are bifold doors leading out to the garden and are a welcome touch in summer. Once opened right up, you can enjoy the secure garden which is a very well maintained cottage garden. There are two separate patio areas to maximize the sun throughout the day and a Webber barbecue available for guests to use.
The spacious kitchen also benefits from large windows with garden views and it modern and light. It has everything required for a self catered stay including fridge, freezer, gas hob, oven, coffee machine, microwave, kettle and toaster. The main kitchen follows through to a utility area with a second sink and a back door also leading out to the garden.
Off of the utility is another shower room with a large walk in shower, toilet, sink and heated towel rail.
There is driveway parking for two cars.

Location:
Set in a quiet cul-de-sac in the rural village of Fishbourne which is ideally located only a 40 minute walk or 2 minute drive from the city centre of Chichester. It offers easy access to the many shops, bars, restaurants and cafes that the Cathedral City has to offer. This includes the acclaimed Chichester Festival Theatre, modern art, and lots of history.
Chichester train station offers connections to London Victoria in just 90 minutes. The is also a bus station in Chichester with links to Midhurst, Bognor Regis, Portsmouth and the beaches of Wittering & Selsey.
The location of the bungalow offers incredibly convenient access to the South Downs countryside, events at Goodwood and to the stunning South Coast – Pagham Beach is just a 20 minute drive away and the renowned dunes of West Wittering is also a 20 minute drive.
Although nearby to a railway line, the garden is secure and noise minimal when inside the property. Fishbourne train station is a 7 minute walk away and from here are direct trains East to Chichester (one stop along) or West in the direction of Portsmouth and Gunwharf Quays Outlet Shopping.
Only a 3 minute walk away is a large playground and playing fields – great for children of all ages with football and basket ball areas, trampolines and a large play park.
If you wish to soak up the local history, Fishbourne is also home to the Roman Palace which is only a 14 minute walk away and makes a fun, educational day trip.
If you enjoy walking, hiking and cycling the are lovely costal routes taking in the magnificent Chichester Harbour. Starting at Fishbourne you can head towards Apuldram then onto Chichester Marina, Birdham and Itchenor. In the opposite direction it will take you towards Bosham, Chidham & Emsworth.
Along with these scenic costal paths there are also many country routes nearby where you can explore the South Downs National Park.
Fishbourne is home to two lovely pubs – The Bulls Head and The Woolpack. Both are nearby to each other, with a 15 minute walk from the bungalow and have beer gardens to enjoy a nice drink on a summers evening.
The Goodwood Estate is just 10 minutes drive, which offers a myriad of events throughout the season including motor-racing (Goodwood Festival of Speed, Goodwood Revival & Members Meetings) and horse-racing. There are buses and many taxi companies operating in the area, please do not hesitate to contact us if you need any help in organising this.
If you fancy a round of golf the Chichester Golf Club is a 14 minute drive away and offers indoor and outdoor adventure golf as well as their tower and cathedral courses for the keen golfer!
Chichester boasts many beautiful parks, some of which with play equipment for children. Oaklands Park, Priory Park and Bishops Palace Gardens offer stunning views of this historic city.
The city walls walk which encircle the Chichester and the cathedral are great if you like to soak up the history of the city.
Chichester’s City Gate is an area near the train station which has restaurants, a cinema, trampolining and also bowling.
