In the village, which lies within the Northumberland Coast National Landscape, you’ll find a variety of shops and places to eat and drink, or you can head to Seahouses, just 2 miles away, where there’s a range of appealing boutiques and an iconic fish smokehouse. There’s another excellent beach here, and from the harbour, you can book a boat trip to see the Farne Islands and their puffins. While in the area, try some kippers from Craster, just 8.5 miles away, or head to one of the many renowned castles, including Bamburgh (5.5 miles) and Alnwick (13 miles).

The main living space is open plan, including a lounge area with a Smart TV and a comfortable, L-shaped sofa. Sink into its comfort and stream your favourite shows, or perhaps pick up the guitar and strum a few tunes. The superb kitchen includes an array of appliances to help you cook up gourmet delights, including a microwave, a dishwasher and an air fryer. There’s even a juicer to make super-healthy drinks. When you’re ready to eat, the spacious breakfast bar has two high stools where you can sit and tuck in, illuminated by colourful glass pendant lights. From the lounge, a sliding door opens to the bright and airy double bedroom, which has its own bi-fold doors to the garden. This room includes ample storage and a small dressing table too. For a refreshing start to your day, the shower room has a hotel feel, beautifully tiled and with a large rainforest shower head, double basins and a luxurious demisting, illuminated mirror.
Step through the bi-fold doors in the living space and straight into the large patio garden, which feels very private and faces south to catch the sun, perfect for drinks and dining outdoors. There’s a choice of places to sit, a handy line on which to air-dry wet suits and swimming gear, and a useful external laundry room, which also offers a secure space in which to store bikes or bags. If you or your pet are covered in sand after a day on the beach, you can use the outside tap and hose to rinse off. This property offers a private parking space for one car and there is on-street parking, if needed for visitor parking.
