Was not particularly comfortable while there. Room was cold and electric heater not strong enough to compensate.
Clearly much investment/repair is underway. From what I understand, will be very nice! Particularly the new Valley View rooms which are under construction.
I don’t enjoy leaving net-negative reviews but I do think that, in the spirit of honest crowd-sourcing of information……

We had all of breakfast, lunch and dinner in the hotel despite having lot of choices because of the food quality and service. However rooms are small and the approach is very narrow . The location of the hotel is fantastic. It’s in main Shimla. Few steps away from Oberoi Cecil. We took the room with valley view and really enjoyed the stay. I love the architecture of the property. Strength of following 'discussion' eventually proved we did indeed have a booking. Rooms and hotel facilities very tired now when once must have been special. But still...
