Although the home’s peaceful surroundings will transport you to a place where the outside world doesn’t exist, in reality, the charming towns of the Eastern Shore are mere moments from your doorstep. Just two minutes away by car or ten minutes by
bike, the tiny hamlet of Centreville has a farmers market, several restaurants and cafes, and most importantly – an ice cream shop! (It also has a convenient supermarket.) Fifteen minutes away the riverfront Chestertown beckons with its numerous
restaurants, art galleries, and farmers market. Easton is thirty minutes in the other direction, with its fine dining and boutiques, and another twenty minutes takes you to the quaint harbor town of St. Michaels with its waterfront restaurants and the Chesapeake Maritime Museum. Be sure to sample the many local restaurants, visit the farmers markets, take a cocktail cruise, or embrace the Maryland tradition of hot steamed crabs washed down by cold beer.
