The Red Barn

Our Red Barn is the perfect place to escape the stress of living. Your view from the large, spacious deck is of 35 acres of natural beauty. The night sky is breathtaking. Sunsets are stunning. Just minutes away is quaint Cave Spring, with antique shops and restaurants. Enjoy walking, fishing, kayaking, biking, and hiking. Bring your gear and go! We are 3 miles from Cave Spring with great restaurants and shopping. 15 minutes from Rome.
The space
We are a pet-friendly space. However, please don’t bring a pet without letting us know. (No pets in heat please. See details in our listing.) We have an open floor plan and plenty of places to play. (Bring a sleeping mask if you are a late sleeper and earplugs as this is open space and with a large group can be noisy.) Drink your coffee on a spacious deck overlooking the fields and yard. The loft bedroom overlooks the living area; and the first floor features a master bedroom with a large closet, washer, and dryer.

The loft has a queen, double and a bunk bed. The kitchen is equipped with microwave, crockpot, griddle, plenty of pots and pans, and a full-size oven/4 burner cooktop and refrigerator. Cook and serve a full meal. The coffee bar is well stocked with coffee and tea.

If you don't like to cook there are great restaurants a short 3-mile drive away in Cave Spring. Enjoy being in the peace and quiet of the country but within a few minutes drive to shop or dine out.

Our spacious bath features a true farm tub and a shower.
We live in the country. The quality of cell service varies depending on your carrier. Please note.

For outdoor fun, we have a fire pit perfect for making smores. We provide firewood. There is a gas grill on the deck. We have a nice outdoor dining area that will seat 6. In warmer weather take a cool bath outside on the deck in one of two antique claw foot tubs and watch the world flow by. We also have a children's play space with a treehouse, and slide.

There are board games for family fun and books for quiet time. The perfect place to unwind, whatever your pleasure.

Other than showing you around when you arrive, we'll completely respect your privacy and leave you alone. However, because the Red Barn and our home share 35 acres, we are readily available and close by if you need anything.

Again, just minutes away is Cave Spring, with antique shops and restaurants. Enjoy walking, fishing, kayaking, biking, and hiking. The Pinhoti Trail runs through Cave Spring and the Silver Comet Trail is 20 minutes away in Cedartown. In Cave Spring, tour the cave from which the town gets its name or swim in the freshwater pool in the shape of the state of Georgia. Cedar Creek Outfitters, just across the highway from our property rents kayaks for day trips on Cedar Creek. There is great fishing at the Lock and Dam Park on the Coosa River, 15 minutes away. Bring your gear and go! We are less than an hour away from Little River Canyon in Alabama. It is worth the drive to see the canyon and the visitor's center.

We are 15 minutes from Rome with a vibrant downtown, featuring great shops and restaurants; Berry College, Mt. Berry Mall, Berry Tennis Center, Shorter University and the Rome Braves State Mutual Stadium. We are only 15 minutes from Cedartown.

We are in the middle of the ABC triangle. Chattanooga is one hour drive away, Atlanta and hour and a half away and Birmingham two hours away.

We can make recommendations if you are at a loss for activities. Better yet just laze the day away at the farm!

-An open comfortable apartment in the country on 35 acres. Two full beds with linens and bath towels provided. (Twin air mattresses are available upon request). Cooking utensils and pans, flatware, dishes, and glassware are provided for your convenience in the kitchen. We also have a microwave, double burner, large toaster oven, griddle, crockpot, blender, waffle iron, coffee maker, and full-size refrigerator with freezer. We have a coffee bar with a French press and a coffee pot with all the coffee and supplies for a perfect cup in the morning. We also provide a variety of teas for hot tea. We have a small selection of games and books for our guests to enjoy along with satellite tv.

A charcoal grill is available. We also have a small fire pit with wood.

Fully private with its own entrance. This space is adjacent to our residence. Generally, we do not see guests unless they want to interact. The space is open and has a lot of natural light. Bring a mask if you are a light sleeper. We live on a gravel drive, it is easy to navigate in a car!

-We are pet friendly but know this is Petey’s place. He is our official assistant super host. He lives with us and roams around. He is a boxer mix. Petey lives to greet guests, is great with children and other dogs. Do not bring a dog who is in heat or aggressive with other animals. If your pet can’t handle another dog don’t bring it. The property is suitable for SOME pets but they must be individually approved, and a $15 per pet per day fee is required. There is an additional cleaning fee of $30. You can send via the send money icon and note it is a trip related cost. Must be paid in advance of arrival. Any pets brought along without express permission will result in guests being asked to leave without a refund. NO LARGE BREEDS, NO EXCEPTIONS.

Will not dig in flowers
Will not lay on furniture or bed

Owner agrees to clean up all pet waste

Our mattresses and pillows are encased in covers that are bed bug proof and protect against dust mites, liquids, and bacteria. Made by Utopia they are soft and comfortable for sleeping.

Entire barn, in addition to a large outdoor space. The Red Barn is an VRBO space designed for travelers and adventurers. Do not plan to host events or parties without express permission from
your hosts. Please be aware there are additional charges if permission is granted to do so.
Other things to note
There is an outdoor fire pit for which we wood. There is also a wood-burning stove inside. We do not supply wood for inside. Wood is available for purchase if you would like to enjoy the woodstove or an additional bonfire. Wood is $10 per bundle.

You are just 3 miles from Cave Spring and only 15 miles from Rome, Ga. Both have restaurants and entertainment.
