Nestled quietly in the rolling green hills of Castel di Lucio, this charming Liberty Campagnolo-style holiday villa sets the perfect scene for a multi-generation family reunion or a diverse group of friends. The 6-bedroom holiday villa easily accommodates up to 14 guests and offers a large, exclusive access pool, a wooden terrace with BBQ and an alfresco lounging area to provide the absolute holiday atmosphere in the villa’s desirably lush, sunny and delightfully calm surroundings.

The villa is spread over a single floor and features a cosy living room centred around a fireplace and furnished with sofas and a coffee table for perfect moments of relaxation. The kitchen of the villa is separate and houses every essential utility to enjoy authentic Sicilian meals; a microwave, coffee machine and fridge are available for use. Additionally, guests can also enjoy the seasonal vegetable garden on the estate and they can buy extra virgin olive oil if they want to indulge in the gastronomy of the region.

Location

The holiday villa is located in a quiet zone of Castel di Lucio, perfect to unwind without interruptions. It is also close to what is known as “Fiumara d’ Arte”: a sculpture set up by Antonio Presti,y making it the perfect starting point to open the treasure chest of art. Guests can explore intriguing works such as “Ariadne’s Labyrinth” by Lanfrendini or Schiavocampo’s “A curve thrown back in time”, all of which are located at a 5-minute drive apart and within a 15-minute drive of the holiday villa.

A restaurant is a 15-minute walk away for carefree dining in the surroundings, and there are many local farms for those who want to enjoy organic chicken, eggs, caciocavallo cheese, ricotta and fresh cow and sheep milk. Besides gastronomy, other jewels of Castel worth checking out are the notable church of Our Mother dedicated to San Luca and San Biagio, The Church of San Carlo and the little Castle of the village located on the hilltop.

The mesmerising sea coast of Tusa is a convenient 40-minutes drive from here and has beautiful blue-flag beaches. For shopping, exploring the oldest sanctuaries of the region as well as admiring the Sicilian Baroque and Campagnolo style, the authentic Sicilian city of Messina is a 2-hour and 15 minutes drive from here. For longer stays and day trips, Ragusa, Modica and Scili are about 3.5 hours away, and Palermo is a little under a 2-hour drive. The nearest international airport is Catania-Fontanarossa Airport, approximately a 2-hour and 15 minutes drive from this vacation rental in Messina.
