"Staying here for 2 days was the best part of our trip to Costa Rica! We were treated like family! Albert Alonso the owner is a wonderful chef and he makes everything himself. From bread to pizza, pies and everything in between. He also went over and beyond and called around to find a personal guide to show us around the area that was honest and trustworthy. Thank you to the Alonso family!"

"Friendly and nice staff. Quite comfortable. Very good location, in city center of San Jose, was able to walk everywhere. Supermarkets, convenience stores, fast food are near. Great sodas located on the first floor, under the hotel. Very good price overall. Someone here complained: The hot water is near the beginning of the knob as opposed to the back. There are some roaches in the bathroom and they stayed near there, which is the only downside. "

"An incredibly beautiful place with gorgeous rooms, amazing birds, magnificent flora and delightful people. The restaurant was open 8 to 8 and the food was amazing. "

"Excelente comunicación con los dueños del lugar, muy amplio, y cerca de la UCR. No hay servicios per se (short stay apartment), pero para los que compren y lleven por ejemplo alimentos hay refrigerador y horno de microondas."

"Very beautiful hotel interior. Good room with very comfortable bed and sheets. Quite loud from the road and the train that goes by often(honking), and inexplicable sounds from the rooms next door or the next building maybe, like banging on pipes. Generally very friendly staff, we did however have an unfortunate money experience when paying for the room and some laundry. We were told laundry was 3 dollars per machine, but were charged 8 dollars and additionally we were shortchanged a little more...
