Villa Tartaruga is conveniently positioned approximately a 6-minute drive outside the historic city of Carovigno and a 10-minute drive from the Adriatic coast. The perfect base for exploring some of the region’s most historic cities, the Torre Guaceto nature reserve and nearby beaches such as Torre Pozzelle and Monticelli. In Carovigno, guests will find the Castello Dentice di Frasso, a 15th-century castle with dramatic towers and views.

Additionally, the whitewashed lanes of Ostuni, \"La Città Bianca\", including its Cathedral and historic old town, are just a 15-minute drive, and the historic town of Cisternino (a 30-minute drive) also makes for a perfect day trip. Other popular excursions include days out at the historic port of Monopoli (a 35-minute drive) and Alberobello, the Trulli Capital and UNESCO World Heritage site (a 45-minute drive).
