The house was a bit dirty and dinged up, but nice. For example: Cobwebs on the walls, gouges in the walls.A few things were tricky to use or not working:Closet door was broken, bedroom door didn't open/shut properly, lamp in bedroom did not work, closet handle was off, a tiny mattress mismatched on a twin bed frame that was too small for most of the kids to use.The main issue with our stay was the pool.We got to the house(Saturday)and the pool was very green and slimy, we let the host know right away(within 24hrs), but no maintenance was to be expected until 2 days after our arival.The pool guy came later on the 3rd day and said not to swim for 24 hrs with all the chemical he added. Later on the 4th day the pool guy came back to check, added more chemicals and said to wait another 24hrs before swimming.Tuesday night our families were still waiting to swim. Naturally, in Cape Coral the pool/swimming is a huge amenity.We communicated this all to our host as it happened; and although they always responded very quickly and said sorry for the inconvenience, they were not very helpful, or offered any kind of alternative, voucher, or partial refund.We reached out to vrbo support and they informed us the the host was denying any kind of refund.As hosts on this platform ourselves we would've hoped for a little better accommodations given the situation with 6 adults and 7kids with no usable pool until late Wednesday.We were left disappointed because of this.
