  • VILLA CATIA is a luxury farmhouse located in San Leonardo in Treponzio, Lucca that provides a dream-like getaway experience. The interior of the villa has been tastefully renovated to create a bright atmosphere, admirably fusing the classic with the modern, while respecting excellent taste. Decorated with traditional Italian pieces, pictures can only hint at the triumphant atmosphere and breath-taking view from every corner of the property.

    As you step inside Villa Catia, you’ll have the impression of living in a little chateau. The modern outdoor furnished areas feature precious handmade terracotta vases, a jacuzzi and a private swimming pool with comfortable loungers. White seat cushions and white umbrellas provide the ideal setting for enjoying a moment in the shade. You can partake in alfresco dining on the several terraces around the house with your friends and family on a hot summer days sipping a nice glass of wine and savouring a meal of local specialties or just relaxing and having fun. Air conditioning and a reliable Wi-Fi connection is included with your reservation.

    A total of three bedrooms at Villa Catia are located on the upper floor and can accommodate up to six guests. Each bedroom is unique, different and finely decorated to satisfy different tastes. You’ll spend every night in total tranquillity at Villa Catia amid fine linens and accoutrements.

    VILLA CATIA‘s location is one of the major positives. Located just a 10 minute drive from the city Walls of Lucca, the villa also offers great access to the most bespoke wonders of Tuscany such as Florence, Pisa, San Gimignano, Siena, Cinque Terre, Volterra, Lajatico, Livorno, Montecatini Terme and Pistoia, all between 15 mins and 60 mins drive. The wider culinary and cultural delights of Tuscany are also there for the taking, with the villa’s location to the south of Lucca making a quick escape to the olive groves, hilltop villages and roadside restaurants of Tuscany all too easy. The great squares of Lucca and Florence and the famous castles and towers of Pisa are great day-trip options located just a little further afield.

    For more active guests, an invigorating walk through the splendid Tuscan countryside can be the crowning grace of an idyllic vacation day thanks to the walking paths among the olive groves and vineyards all around Villa Catia. Beautiful villa

Villa Catia is absolutely stunning. We loved the gorgeous views over the hills. The villa is beautifully decorated and the pool and jacuzzi are the perfect way to relax at the end of a busy day. Louise, the house manager, was fantastic and very quick to reply to any questions we had. The location was ideal for us. Very quiet and peaceful but just a short drive to nearby towns and villages, and local shops 5 minutes down the road. We'd highly recommend staying at Villa Catia.

Completely satisfied

This place is even more beautiful than the photos. The grounds are impeccable, and per-fect for kids to safely run around onjust have a leisurely walk. The villa itself was exa-ctly the Tuscan experience we were looking for - tranquil, has it's own impeccable grounds, beautiful views and near distance to a lovely little village with great restaurants. The kitchen is awesome and fully equipped to cook yourself a Tuscan meal to eat al fre-sco. The caretakers are awesome and so helpful. The road to the villa was easy to mana-ge and we did not have any problem. My entire family loved the place, and dream of co-ming back bringing more people to enjoy it. Highly highly recommend this place.

Wonderful vacation in beautiful Italian style villa

Our family of five (kids 13, 10 and 5) loved this secluded villa with lots of room to play outdoors. We all enjoyed both the pool and the jacuzzi. The fact that the pool is only 1,2 m suited us very well since our 5 yr old is just learning how to swim. We also enjoyed outdoor dining. I read beforehand that some guests had been bothered by noise from the tractor next door. We did not have that experience at all. We hardly ever heard the tractor and never during the evenings. Finally we really appreciated the amazing service by the owners and by Louise who was able to answer any questions. We felt very welcomed.

Relaxing trip

Beautiful villa and exquisite gardens, impeccably kept. Perfect for 6, lots of areas to sit together or separately. Bottle of wine and Italian biscuits left on the occasion of our anniversary. Another bathroom would have been good but due to the age of the villa that would be hard. The hot tub was not working the whole week which was a big selling point and a disappointment. We weren’t told until we arrived, I would have appreciated being advised beforehand. The owner did try to rectify this but it couldn’t be fixed.

Villa Catia was superb!

This place is beautiful! It is very well maintained and cared for with many modern upgrades. The pictures are spot on. Louise, the house manager, is extremely responsive, helpful and accommodating. From pre-arrival communication and during our stay, she responded immediately and made herself available at all times. It rained most of our stay so we didn’t use the pool but we did use the hot tub often. It’s a very nice one! The grounds are pretty and the outdoor amenities are lovely. The views are great, especially at night. Beds and linens are nice kitchen is supplied with most things you’ll need bigger bathroom is quite roomy and nicely decorated plenty of outlets and the common areas (dining room, living room etc) are spacious, comfortable and again nicely decorated. Washer/dryer are a bonus but it takes a long time to dry your clothes and you’re doing very small loads. Having an Italian farmhouse with all its amenities to yourself is unbelievable and Villa Catia was superb!

Great villa for the whole family

The villa has lots of space and a beautiful garden. You can eat outside and enjoy the view. The jacuzzi was a highlight for our daughter since the pool was too cold in October. The supermarket is very close, where you get everything you need. Louise was responsible for our stay and did a great job. She was every time available and very friendly and kind. I can really recommend this porperty!! Maybe a small swing or sth like that in the garden for little kids.

A wonderful place to stay!

Had a wonderful time in this beautiful villa. Location amazing - off the beaten track enough to feel very rural, but with supermarket and restaurants very close by (within 5 minute drive). Great base to visit beautiful Lucca (really close by - 15 mins), Collodi, Florence and Pisa. The garden was immaculate and great that the property is gated and enclosed (2 children with us!) We loved the hot tub and views. Louise was fantastic, meeting us late in the evening after our flights were delayed. Gave us a thorough tour of the property and gave some great advice about local amenities etc. She couldn't have been friendlier. Overall a wonderful place to stay :)

A magical Stay!

We could not have picked a more perfect place to visit Tuscany than the Villa! We were met by Renate who shared her knowledge of the area and the Villa. From the moment we walked into the pristine but welcoming Villa, we were swept into the magic of Tuscany. There was a delicious sweet dessert and a bottle of Chianti from the owners waiting for us as well as a delicious meal supplied by a local chef Christina. Renate made sure we were comfortable and was on call to us throughout the trip should a problem arisewe just had a question about the area!! We highly recommend the Villa for a magical stay!

perfekter Aufenthalt

Wir durften eine Woche lang in diesem schönen Haus zu Gast sein. Bei Ankunft hat uns bereits ein Tiramisu im Kühlschrank sowie eine schöne Geschenktüte erwartet. Das Haus ist ruhig gelegen und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Von den Schlafzimmern bis hin zum Whirlpool ist alles sauber und gut erhalten

The place was even better than stated. The Villa is very clean and the Host is really kind. All rooms are decorated nicely and it was very comfortable staying there. The place was overall quiet and cozy. The kitchen was also well equipped.

Wonderful, peaceful Tuscan stay

The villa is beautifully presented, with great care and attention paid to both the style and usability of the living spaces. The outdoor spaces also tended to fantastically - the pictures cannot do them justice. We are already dreaming of coming back - But for more than a week this time as a week simply isn't enough!

A little Hem in the heart of Lucca

This was our 3rd stop on our road trip around Italy. We have a 4 night stay booked and On arrival we were blown away by the location.. Set in its own grounds this restored farm house with well kept gardens and views of the mountains was amazing and just what was called for are a dismal stay in a hotel in Forte Dei Marmi. The property is spacious and perfect with 3 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. We were a family of 5 and it was just perfect. The property has all the facilities you need during your stay. The is a supermarket less than a km away which is perfect for self catering. There is also a really nice pizzeria in the next village was which was ideal. The location of this property is perfect for relaxing with just the sounds of the countryside and perfect for visiting cities like Pisa and Lucca (30mins away) and Florence about an hour away. The star of the show for the property as well is the perfectly situated Hot tub/jacuzzi which whilst your relaxing and enjoying the views gives you the sense of pure relaxation. The hosts of the property were also amazing and always contactable. I would highly recommend this property and would definitely go back . Access to maybe on line TV like Netflix so that people who stay can sign into there own account when staying as the satellite TV is only Italian and German ..
