Cloud 9 is owned by a songwriter, and music lovers will no doubt feel a kinship of spirit here. Downstairs you’ll find a laid-back lounge with a gallery that pays homage to some of the greats. Come down with a friend or two and a bottle of local wine, and share it in the company of music legends.



When it’s time to wind down, the living area offers space for everyone to sit by the fire and watch the stars come out over darkening mountains. All three king-size bedrooms have their own bathrooms, and each offers its own special delight—opt for the bedroom off the terrace for unlimited access to fresh mountain air, or choose the ones with soaking tubs for next-level relaxation.

Tucked right in the heart of Pisgah National Forest, the Cloud Nine is an adventurer’s dream. Spend the day surrounded by nature on a mountain trail or paddling in the French Broad River. For more of an adrenaline rush, zipline through tree canopies or expansive gorges.



Once you’ve worked up an appetite, the town of Candler offers endless options for southern comfort food. Or drive just 20 minutes into Asheville for diverse dining options, dozens of wineries and breweries, and a live music scene that can’t be beat.
