El Algarrobo is located in a quiet residential area of Cafayate, surrounded by vineyards, hills, and rural paths. It’s only a few minutes from the town center, yet far enough to enjoy peace and starlit nights. From the garden, you can admire the red mountains typical of the valley. The neighborhood is safe, and the neighbors are friendly. It’s an ideal base for exploring the Wine Route, visiting wineries, or hiking along the river and surrounding trails.

Guests have full access to all areas of El Algarrobo. There are no restrictions within the property.

Please note that a friendly dog lives on the premises—she’s affectionate and loves company. If you’re not comfortable with animals, this might not be the best place for you.

We all enjoy good wine, and Cafayate is the perfect place for it! However, we ask guests to keep a respectful and calm atmosphere. During certain festive or “wine-heavy” dates, we may request a refundable security deposit, which is returned at the end of the stay.

Barrio El Tránsito es una zona tranquila y residencial ubicada a pocos minutos del centro de Cafayate. From El Tránsito, you can reach Cafayate’s center in about 15–20 minutes on foot or five minutes by car. The roads are calm and pleasant for walking or biking. The National Route 40 is nearby, providing easy access to wineries, rivers, and other local attractions. Local taxis and remises are inexpensive and convenient, especially during hot hours.
