Rest and recharge in this rural bolthole for family and friends in the north of Eryri National Park (Snowdonia). The property is nestled within private woodlands, just 300 metres from one of the six main routes to the summit of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon). The unspoilt village of Beddgelert is 2 miles away, offering independent eateries, or further afield you’ll find Porthmadog and Betws-y-Coed (both within 15 miles). Nearby family attractions include Zip World, Sygun Copper Mine, and the historic castles of Caernarfon and Criccieth (all within 15 miles).
The stone retreat offers a welcoming base, with comfortable furniture, plush soft furnishings, and an array of homely touches. Large windows flood the spaces with natural light and frame tranquil, leafy vistas. The ground floor is a sociable, open-plan living area with an archway linking the lounge and kitchen/diner. After sharing family mealtimes at the dining table, head through to the cosy lounge, which is decorated in warm tones and has sumptuous sofas arranged around a Smart TV – the ideal spot for a movie night together. Upstairs, three inviting bedrooms await, including a bunk bedroom with a single over a double bed. A contemporary bathroom with an indulgent corner bath rounds off this woodland hideaway. Outside, dine alfresco amongst the trees on your private patio, or wander into the woodlands to look for local wildlife and soak up the peace and tranquillity. The property has private parking for two cars.
The picturesque village of Beddgelert sits on the rivers Colwyn and Glaslyn, and walks branch away from the village along the pretty riverbank. Hop aboard one of the heritage steam trains of the Welsh Highland Railway to marvel at the breathtaking mountain scenery. The property sits between two of Eryri’s most beautiful lakes – Llyn Dinas and Llyn Gwynant – where you can enjoy peaceful waterside walks.
