    Moorecroft er en rummelig, åben plan moderne ejendom med en stor indendørs swimmingpool, en 7ft biografskærm med Sky Sports og et spillerum. Ejendommen er indrettet og møbleret til en høj standard med mange finurlige funktioner. Cavendish Golf Club ligger 5 minutters gang fra huset, og en gåtur fra hoveddøren ind i bakkerne eller en gåtur ind i hjertet af Buxton tager mindre end 10 minutter. Buxton har meget at byde på, inklusive dets spektakulære Pavilion Gardens, den fantastiske Devonshire Dome med sin viktorianske spa, operahuset samt unikke butikker og restauranter, der imødekommer enhver smag. Gæster kan måske gerne arrangere et besøg, der falder sammen med et show i Buxton Opera House, som er et fantastisk sted for alle slags shows. Komikere som Alan Carr, Shaun Lock og John Richardson har alle optrådt, samt musik fra Russell Watson, The Buzzcocks, Bellowhead og Heaven 17. Hyldesteband til Pink Floyd, Abba og Queen har også vist såvel som mange skuespil, operaer og børneshows. What a fantastic holiday home.

What a fantastic holiday home. There were 11 of us over the weekend and 5 of us in the week with ages ranging from 2 to 72. The whole house was spotless on arrival, the beds comfortable, and there are 2 fridges, a wine fridge, 2 freezers and plenty of storage space. The kitchen is well equipped with cutlery, crockery, pots, pans and utensils.The pool was a massive hit, and we enjoyed using it every day. The games room was also a big hit, and we particularly enjoyed playing pool and darts. The cinema room was enjoyed by our grandchildren and also provided another seating area. The adults enjoyed playing games in the upstairs seating area later in the evening as this area has slightly higher seating and a coffee table for games and drinks.We loved the layout of the house, which is quite quirky and the welcome pack on arrival was a nice touch.There is sufficient parking for 3 cars on the driveway, albeit a little tight, and there was some free parking on the road immediately outside the house.We really enjoyed spending time at the house as well as visiting The Pavilion Gardens, Buxton town, Bakewell and Monsal Head and the stunning Peak District countryside.We would definitely return.

The accommodation was exactly what we needed for a great family holiday. I gave a 9 equipment because the cooker unfortunately burns the food on the gas underneath before it’s cooked on top and the electric side doesn’t seal properly.The games room could be insulated as it is quite cold.The space bedroom could do with more draws. We had an enjoyable holiday this house is excellent for families. Unfortunately the replacement pool cover had not arrived And the pool was not as warm as we expected however having the pool as part of the house was excellent for the children some mats outside the pool would have helped water to be contained as the floor was wet and very slippery. For the amount of people the house caters for the rubbish facilities were not adequate larger bin capacity outside is vital we felt. We were a group of ladies, varying ages, loved the pool. Moorecroft was well equipped and very clean. We would definitely recommend this property and give it a five star rating. Parking was a bit awkward, as the drive was a steep slope.

Beautiful place, lots to do inside so the only thing we really needed from surrounding area was a shop which was quite a trek or drive for someone. All amenities were excellently cared for only one issue was that a few of the kids with us ended up with cuts on their feet from the pool, we think it might be from slightly jagged edges on the steps in. Would highly recommend as there is something for all and big enough for some peace and quite if needed.

The house is beautiful and well equipped to entertain a large group. The only comments we would make are in respect of the internet, which didnt work and wasn't fixed until half way through our break; this did impact our stay as we struggled with the kids who couldn't watch their ipads, it also meant I was unable to work as planned and meant we couldn't watch the movies we wanted during the evenings. We had great use of the games room, although the dart board/darts has a lot of wear and could do with updating but having a house with a pool was amazing and we enjoyed using it every day; it was beautifully warm and a great size. I have to admit we thought the games/cinema/tv areas were all separate rooms from the photos on the website but in fact they are just areas within the same living space which have been sectioned off. Having the kids games area in the living space area is nice, but the cinema room in an open space beside the tv room meant it was tough to hear them when they were both on. The sky box can only be viewed on one screen at a time, so you cant watch different sky channels plus the sky box is over on the cinema side, so you had to be over that side to control it. The negative comments are only due to expectations as the house appears quite premium and is expensive. But the facilities are lovely, and it's close to the town. It's well equipped with towels and pillows and little extras like colouring pencils for the kids. Lots of fridge and kitchen cupboard space. Also, they responded quickly to our complaints regarding the internet, the delay getting it sorted was due to the IT companies technical teams delay due to opening days and troubleshooting time.

Excellent location, just a walk into the town centre.

Excellent location, just a walk into the town centre. swimming pool and pool room are lovely and warm and all areas are spacious with lots of storage and refrigeration. The housekeeping staff are nice and friendly and the gardens are large enough. If I was being picky I'd prefer a door into the master en-suite rather than open plan and vehicle entrance in and out can be difficult with cars parked on the main road but overall we had a lovely time.

Lovely house with the highlight being the swimming pool - enjoyed regularly by all 3 generations, especially in the wet weather. Smallish garden but ok for our needs. Parking is on a slope which was tricky at times. House needs some minor repairs and refurbishment to bring it up to scratch. However we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

A fantastic house more spacious than the images show. The location being 6 mins walk to the lovely town of buxton is great. The Clubhouse pub is great for good value tasty meals just down the hill. We spent a lot of time in the lovely heated pool which is also bigger than we thought. We watched all our TV in the cinema room which was brilliant. Only improvements could be a hanging rail in one of the bedrooms that is missing a wardrobe and new mattresses or toppers in the twin beds in the space room. Kids loved the 2 PS4's. Any small problems were dealt with promptly. Four bathrooms meant plenty of space for our family of 9 and the games room a fantastic added bonus!!! Would definitely stay again...and hope to.

excellent location, found everything we were looking for in the area quite easily. Moorecroft itself is a comfortable house with the facilities like the swimming pool and games room very popular with all generations. The property itself does require some work both inside and out. Would come again.

We spent a lovely 70th Birthday family weekend at Moorecroft. 6 adults and 4 children 16-8. Just what we wanted. The swimming pool was the icing on the cake. We would book again for a special weekend.

Lovely, spacious property, very open plan and of course the pool was excellent. Couple of issues, eg the main kitchen tap very stiff, dodgy chair, both oven and TV system somewhat complicated (maybe a freeview option on the downstairs tv) and couldn't find scissors anywhere. Could perhaps do with blackout blinds in upstairs twin. There's an extra shower/toilet behind the cinema room that came in useful and the game's room was a lot of fun. Cleaner friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Sometimes places don't live up to expectations but this was not the case with Moorecroft. The swimming pool was perfect and we all enjoyed using it. The cinema room was great for family entertainment when the weather was bad and the games room also came in handy. The property is spacious and comfortable and well equipped. We would have no hesitation in returning.
