"Overall, I had a pleasant stay. The bed was comfortable, which made for a good night’s sleep, and the breakfast—hot, fresh, and had a decent variety. The hotel was clean and quiet, and everything worked as it should. Nothing overly fancy, but it got the job done. I’d definitely consider staying here again."

"This is a super nice hotel in a convenient location. Staff was accommodating and efficient. Currently they are remodeling different areas of the property so the parking is reduced but that's just temporary. Wifi is reliable. Pool is clean. Air conditioner did an excellent job even with the extreme heat advisory. "

I recently stayed at the Red Roof Inn & Suites in Newport News and had a generally positive experience. The room was clean and comfortable, and the amenities were just what I needed for a short stay. Staff at the front desk were polite, and check-in was smooth and efficient.

"The hosts at Aldrich House are great and provide a wonderful breakfast served family style in the beautiful home. Overall a very clean and lovely setting to relax for the few days we were in town to visit Williamsburg. Very easily walkable distance (about 10 minute walk with sidewalks all the way) to downtime Colonial Williamsburg. Free to visit town, but you will need tickets for events and attractions. Stayed here over July 4th and crowds not an issue at all."
