"We booked a room at The Fox Hall at the very last minute, as we are attending a wedding nearby the next day. It was really just for convenience and we weren't that bothered about exactly where we stayed. That said, what an absolute gem The Fox Hall is! From a very friendly greeting, a delightful room and an excellent supper, we feel very lucky to have stumbled across it and we're planning to return (intentionally!) soon! "

"Great last minute night away with kids. Lovely hotel, friendly staff and brilliant leisure facilities! Mark couldn't be more helpful! If there was one down side, the restaurant menu could do with a revisit (very limited) and the beautifully cooked steak and fresh fish were very much let down by the frozen chips! BUT, the breakfast was amazing! Will definitely visit again!"

"I had to check out due to the COLD! Read this before going! This was the cheapest I could find. Never again! I check in at the pub ("reception") and there reasonably nice welcome. Had been "upgraded" for free they told me. I obviously said thanks and went up with the host. I got inside, and they left. immediately it becomes evident that heating the room is an issue. The pub is probably an old heritage building, old enough that it'll be daft cold in the winter and hot in the summer. I laid...

"Plenty of parking next to hotel room. In my case I could see my motorcycle from the hotel window. Large well appointed clean room with excellent en suite. Lovely views over surrounding hills. Cozy pub with real fire. Good full English breakfast and friendly staff. All good thanks and would stay again. "

"The place is cosy and the bed was comfy, however there were no sockets next to the bed and worse, there was no water pressure in the shower at all. The staff promised to remedy it, but ultimately didn't do anything about it. Maybe a bad room, maybe a bad inn."
