"The the staff were amazing. We couldn’t fault anything. On arrival we checked in at reception to be greeted with our room information and all information relevant to the hotel such as parking and food. We were shown to our room which was lovely very comfortable bed and the shower was amazing. We popped over for dinner and had our son and grandson join us. Our grandson has a peanut allergy. They took this on board and catered for all of us. Dinner was a delight. We stayed here last year when...

No signs on room numbers, had to insist on being shown the way to our rooms. Doors were difficult to open/close. Bed linen and bathrooms were clean but everything else was literally dusty and greasy. No toilet paper in one of the rooms, no extra in the other room, no staff available, had to walk about the...

"Easily the best accommodation of a four-day stay in Northumberland. Everything in the Whittling House makes your trip a little bit better, from lovely staff to beautiful decor, homemade shortbread for the rooms to the comfy armchairs in the bar. Definitely worth the more premium price!"
