"The place looks old, tatty and worn, but reasonably clean and I did sleep really well after initially thinking the mattress was too soft. At £89 per room it was a little bit more than I thought it was worth."

"Large bungalow style room with full disability access and wet room. Stylish. Comfy beds. Check in lady was friendly. Room was left open when we arrived but no electricity so had to go find someone. Bathroom bin had not been emptied but otherwise clean. Struggled to find someone serve us behind the bars. Breakfast was a little anaemic but good quality and tasty. Plenty of parking near the room Would stay again."

"Very disappointing stay, particularly considering the price paid. The room was comfortable and the shower good, but housekeeping standards declined throughout our stay. Even after servicing, sheets were not changed, the floor was not hoovered and the bathroom was not mopped. Breakfast was poor in both quality and service, and got worse as the week progressed. "Room was clean and comfortable but starting to show signs of needing attention (worn through couch covers, split pillow case) the TV didnt want to turn on and there has been a downgrade in the bathroom amenities from the baylis & harding i loved. Parking was plentiful"

"I stay around 10 times a year. A 5 star welcome, 5 star food, 5 star service and a 5 star room. A unique old hotel with a modern, clean, tidy fresh feel. The food is amazing, locals travel here for the food. Highly recammend!"

"Da vi kom til hotellet kunne de ikke finde vores booking.Det lykkedes dog af omveje. Hotellet er ok men lever ikke op til billederne på Hotels.com. Det ligger et godt stykke uden for byen - ikke muligt at gå ind til byen, da der er landevej og ikke lys."

"Fint hotel, men værelserne var noget slidte."
