"Very clean, new/or recent remodel. customer service was excellent, wonderful breakfast fresh pancakes. Quiet area. Great place for the price. I stayed here and drove over to Jekyll every day. Saved a lot of money. Definitely planning on going back and staying at this location when I go to Jekyll."

"We stayed at this La Quinta about three years ago, and it was clean, comfortable, and a great stop for the night. I couldn't believe how much it had gone downhill. "Vacationing family of 5 with 3 kids, 2 connecting rooms. Had a fabulous time at Oaks on the River. Spacious luxurious rooms, very comfortable beds, 100 % clean, friendly staff all over, great restaurant for evening dining and ala carte breakfast. Beautiful river view from rooms and restaurant. Only inconvenience was the heated pool was not heated :-("

"The room and bathroom were not clean and dust was everywhere. My wife has allergies and couldn’t breathe. She went to the desk and they showed her another room which was very musky and was worse than the first room. We got our money back and left. Very few rooms were taken when we arrived and maybe that is why. Housekeeping needs to do a better job and maintenance needs to check for mold."

"Room was nothing fancy, but very clean & suited my needs. I had a street facing room but not a busy area so it was quiet. I liked not having room service daily, anything I needed I could get from the front desk. Breakfast was continental, same thing daily. I chose this hotel based on its location for an event I was attending g & also based on the price. I was not disappointed"

"The lobby and our room smell like mildew and musty. Hotel is outdated and old looks newer from the outside, but the inside is very old had a terrible night trying to sleep only slept like three hours due to the moisture and musty smell in the room. Very disappointed at Marriott. This doesn’t meet their standards."

On the day before we came home they had no clean towels or washcloths. We used our own beach towel to dry off with."
