When I arrived, there was no one there to check me in. There was a sign on the door that said "check email" if no one is here, and you will have check in instructions. I did that and there were none. So I called the number on the door. A young lady showed up a few minutes later. She said "you have a dog." And I said yes, it is a service dog (he was wearing is orange "service dog" vest as usual.) I explained that I noted that I travel with a service dog in a message to the hotel as part of my Expedia reservation. She said she doesn't have access to that, and that I was "supposed to call" the hotel and tell them I have a service dog. With a real attitude, She said that she had to change my room because I didn't tell the hotel that I had a dog and that the room they had me in was not pet friendly. At this point, I would have left but the hotel already had my money.
This hotel is nothing special for the $130 price tag. There are probably cheaper options if you are just looking for a place to crash en route. On the plus side, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was a typical continental breakfast--they did have homemade banana bread which was good and jimmy dean sausage biscuits for the microwave.
