"The hotel is in need of repair. The lampshade next to the bed had a fist sized hole in it, there was a large hole in the carpet by the door, the carpet in front of the bathroom had tape on it to hold it down. The hotel lost power twice in the five days we were there. I expected better from the Marriott brand."

"Great historical stay!!! Amazing history of the mansion!!! Staff was very friendly and helpful! Cleanest rooms ever!!! Wonderful front porch with rocking chairs!!! Highly recommend a stay at Steele Mansion!!!"

"It was adequate for our needs for a one night stay. I was impressed there was a refrigerator & microwave in room. Breakfast was not included. Easy to find. Near the interstate, but quiet. Restaurants near by."

"The staff were pleasant. Parking in front of the building is plus. There was no noise issue. The room smelled wet requiring to have the A/C on—thanks for the A/C. The furniture was outdated, the carpet appeared to not have been cleaned in a few years, the bathroom appeared to have had previous mold build up. I appreciated that the bathroom was big enough for ADA customers, including the safety latch and peephole. For the price this is what you get. (Not here to complain.) If your sleeping...

"We arrived to find the property under renovation. Our room was one in a wing of rooms in original condition. The carpet was torn and stained, not clear the sheets were clean, no towels, the towel rack was hanging off the wall as was the tissue holder, no glasses or cups, there was an extra (dented) refrigerator in the room. It would probably have failed any health or accommodation codes."

"the air conditioning was FREEZING, which is a good thing in the middle of the summer, thank goodness for that. the room needed a bit more attention with a mop, because dusting alone was not enough for those floors, i dared not walk barefoot. parking was ok, however there were many trucks taking up multiple parking spots, one night one inconsiderate pickup driver parked with his trailer on 5 parking spots. the staff was nice"
