On organic winegrowing estate called 'le Château de Pravins', at the heart of the Beaujolais region, lovely gîte in a character set of listed buildings. Close to the city of Villefranche/Saône. Owners live on site. The gîte has been laid out using eco-friendly, healthy materials (insulating made of hemp, double glazing). Attractive interior combining period features with modern comfort. Accessed via hall with extra facilities (shower room, WC). Ground floor : kitchen with dining area, small shower room/Wc. Upstairs: large mezzanine with lounge area & sleeping area (two 90 X 200 cm beds that can be joined to form double bed), small bedroom (two 80 x 190 cm single beds that can be joined to form queen size bed). Interior courtyard with access to the shared laundry room (washing machine). Private terrasse at the back, wonderful views of the vineyards, hills, plain of Ain, Jura range and Mont Blanc (in fine weather). Shared extensive grounds and courtyard. Parking area. 2nd accommodation for 6 people nearby on property (self-contained). The two accommodations can be rented jointly for family/friends gatherings. Tour and tasting of estate organic wines (free of charge) can be arranged on request for guests interested (wines are labelled AB, Vignobles et Découvertes, Vignerons Indépendants, Géosite/Unesco Géopark).
