"We booked The Mercantile on the Katy Trail as a last minute, on a whim stay during our family road trip. We couldn't believe how amazing the property was when we arrived. Every detail was thought of, and what an amazing place to stay! It was by far the best place we stayed during our multi-state road trip. Highly recommend to anyone!!!"

"We stayed in the cottage and both rooms were so nice and clean. It came with breakfast and it was actually a cooked breakfast like pancakes, French toast, quiche, and egg casserole served to us. It was amazing. "

"Loved the uniqueness of the property and town, however was very disappointed in the location of our property we stayed .. we rode the train, therefore we had no transportation while we were there. We chose the Hermannhof because it was right by the train station , our room was a 1/2 a mile down the street with 108 stairs to climb up to get to our room.
Fortunately we are somewhat in shape with no disabilities, the hotel didn’t provide any “rides” for check-in or departure, needless to say it...

"It’s a room in a museum. So much cool history. A great location close to everything in Hermann. The host gave us a short tour of the property and offered complimentary drinks. Be warned, the walls are a bit thin to outside noise but a fan helped mitigate it"

"Wonderful historic hotel with notes to read about past events. It can really help you imagine the 1800s, since it was lovingly restored with the goal of looking just like it did. Laurie was kind, helpful and thoughtful too. Room stayed cool and we enjoyed passing trains. Easy to walk around town with dining options and you could walk to it from the Amtrak station. The only suggestion would be to have a hanger or 2 in the room and maybe some bottles of water, although the room had a glass bottle...

"Been to Hermann several times and had not seen this on the list to stay at. Very nice and so comfortable. Wish I had more than a night to stay. Didn't get to enjoy the heated pool, whirlpool, theater room, fire pit or game area. Breakfast served right in your room. Rooms are equipped with a frig stocked with soda, water, and other condiments. Even has popcorn, items to make smores, wine frig, bag, pitcher and cup to go to the pool with. Definitely with stay again and bring my friends and family."

"Wow! That pretty much sums up the Hermann Motel. All we really wanted was a place to leave our stuff and a bed to crash on after a day at the wineries. We got that and a ton more. The renovated property looks amazing! John Boy the shuttle driver told us we would like the new and improved Hermann Motel. He wasn't kidding. The place was amazing. Inside and out! The room was modern with a taste of history - incorporating Hermann's history. The ceramic picture in the shower of the old city hall was...

Have carpeting always feels dirty . here they have flooring and the bathroom is very nice has everything you need . It really feels like im in my bedroom. 🙂 will come back.

"Loved my stay here…Brant was very helpful with information on the area since it was our first visit. Very clean room and comfortable bed and pillows! Close walk to all of downtown shopping and restaurants. Piano bar is right across the street, but loved the live music in the garden area…the rabbit even enjoyed the music…lol…found out he feeds the rabbit graham crackers so they stick around. Beautiful property and town! Will definitely be back "
