"This was a historic stay. We loved the tiny details and felt like we had stepped back in time to a Jane Austen novel. Highly recommend for people who love old mansions. I taught my daughters about encyclopaedias - the google of yore - and we also loved watching the spirit of Tasmania berth."

"Nice location, very clean, great hot shower, adequately equipped kitchen and good heating. Lounge furniture a little sparse and uncomfortable. The only issue was the bed. While clean and in good condition, but the mattress far too soft for us. Didn’t sleep at all well, woke with back ache."

"Staff were lovely and helpful. The cabin had a really nice "homey" feel and we appreciated the books, dvds, card games, etc. that were available. Beautiful views and we could say hello to the donkeys every morning. Would come back again."
