The top floor is home to a full hallway bathroom and all three master suites, including one with its own private sundeck and custom walk-in shower. Delaware regulations require all guests sign a lease agreement within 10 days of booking. A lease agreement will be sent within 24 hours of booking and an electronic signature is required before final check-in information is made available.

Dirty but great location

We really liked this property and the community, however the cleanliness was unacceptable. We contacted the management company a few times, and one time the telephone representative was very rude. There was filth on the floors, counters, and bathtubs. This is a really nice property and it is unfortunate for the owner that the management company doesn't clean it.

Disappointment

Having stayed at Sea Colony before, I had no doubt we would have a good time- which we did. However, a few things left me disappointed and thinking we won’t be going back in the future. The house was very good, and it seemed clean at first glance; the smell of disinfectant was fresh. Upon a walk around the house, I could tell the cleaning was superficial. The sun room had a very strong musty smell, making it unusable. The shower stall in the master suite had red grout- clearly not properly cleaned if at all. The deck out of the master suite was also unusable - filthy chairs and giant spider webs- spiders included- occupied the space. I can understand all the leaves (it’s an outdoor space after all), but it could have been well kept. The biggest issue was that, upon check-in on a Saturday, I was notified the fridge wasn’t working. Our crew comprised 4 adults and 4 kids under 5. They placed 2 mini bars in the kitchen and promised someone would be there to either fix the fridge or replace it on Monday. Nobody came until Tuesday, and when it was confirmed the fridge needed to be replaced, it didn’t happen during our 7-day stay. For the whole duration of our stay, we had to make do with two mini bars, which meant runs to the grocery store every other day - time which should have been spent enjoying our vacation. To add injury to insult, there was total disregard from the customer relations team. Not once did they give me a call to keep me updated on the situation with the fridge. It was me calling them every day to try to find out what was going on. One of the representatives had a despicable attitude, making light of the issues with comments such as “well, at least it’s not 100-degree weather out there”. In the end they promised me a small refund for not having a fridge, but, again, it took me calling them THREE more times after checking out to make sure the refund was processed.

The Hunsinger’s at Bethany

Not as clean as I thought it would be. Ants 🐜 all over kitchen counters. Could not leave any supplies or snacks on counters at all. Upstairs deck off of master bedroom covered with leaves, looked dirty and not appealing. We tried to call the office but there was s really long wait time.

5th year at Sea Colony

We've stayed at several other Sea Colony properties and this one was the most spacious and pleasant. The decorating was simple and cute (no problem with knick-knacks or totally 80's stuff that you often see!) We enjoyed our stay, the kids especially liked the sunroom with the large TV. The kitchen has been updated. The cleaners could do a better job in certain areas with dust and cobwebs. The shower knob was broken in the 3rd bed/bath and they addressed the issue after a few days when the broken part was finally tracked down. We would stay here again.

Sea Colony Property

We experienced a severe ant problem throughout the first floor. The property manager laid ant traps but it did little to contain the situation. Difficult to relax when one's grandchildren are constantly are stomping on ants. The enclosed patio was filthy and extremely dusty. Nevermind, inhabitable since the ants were too numerous. The couch in the LR needed a good cleaning. There were numerous pieces of food items under the cushions. Cooking utensils were minimal within the unit.

Comfortable and nicely decorated.

Very comfortable and clean. Only issue was several non working tv's which management addressed promptly. Would stay here again.
