We were really let down by our stay here. The unit was not properly cleaned before check-in. To name a few issues: there was sand on the bedsheets (not properly washed), prior guests’ belongings were scattered around, used bars of soap were left in the showers, counters weren’t wiped down, the floor needed vacuuming, dishes sat in the dishwasher, and the fridge was appalling. Beyond cleanliness, fire alarms were taped over, closet doors were falling off, the toilet paper holder was ripped off the wall, and the half bath was locked/inaccessible.We called the office and they said they’d send someone to clean — nobody showed, so we spent our first day cleaning just to feel comfortable staying there. There weren’t even basic supplies (disinfecting wipes, paper towels, toilet paper, hand soap), so we spent nearly 60 on overpriced items at CVS (at least that was conveniently across the street). Also, the vacuum in the unit didn’t even work. On top of that, check-in info was sparse — we had to hunt for our assigned parking space and call just to get the WiFi password.Given the poor start, we requested a partial refund (at min., the cleaning fee), but got no meaningful response. It’s been 2 weeks since checkout and we’re still following up regularly, always told it’s “under review.” We’re disappointed it wasn’t managed better; this could’ve been a less negative review.If cleanliness and a responsive host matter to you, I don’t recommend staying at a VueStay managed property.
