Unfortunately we had a disappointing stay and it started right from check in, where I told my first name and gave my passport. Apparently my booking was very difficult to find but after a while it was found and when returning my passport she told me my surname in a teaching manner, but pronounced it incorrectly, which is why is gave my first name to begin with (my surname is difficult to pronounce outside Scandinavia).
The room was relatively new, but not very big and with no refrigerator and very little storage space, and it’s a problem when there also really isn’t any place for suitcases. The view was to a completely gray wall not very charming at all.
The hotel overall has a new modern feel- with minimalistic clear lines. It can feel a little sterile, but really is a question if you like it or not. The bathroom has a fresh almost Nordic style, but it would be nice if it was possible to make the water just a little warmer.
When we came back in the afternoon the room wasn’t even cleaned. And when we politely asked if it was a mistake we were told that if we don’t leave the room before 13 it won’t be cleaned - our mistake! Luckily another receptionist quickly gave an apology and asked if we needed anything and told us that it wasn’t our fault. We got new glasses, 2 towels and coffee, but not the cleaning we had payed for.
Breakfast was nice bit the tables and seats dirty.
We will choose another nicer hotel next time we are in Berlin and recommend you do the same.
