We have been on vacation to Benalmadena many times over the years and normally stay in a hotel. However, we saw this apartment on-line and thought we'd give it a try. What a gem.
We arrived to find a welcome pack of items waiting for us in this beautiful apartment. Tea, coffee, milk, sugar, water and some food in the fridge meant that the "panic" shopping expedition for a nice cuppa wasn't required. Although it has to be said that the apartment is only a few steps away from a large supermarket.
In fact, the apartment is ideally situated for various shops, cafes, restaurants and, of course, the waterfront and beach. The main original part of town is up the hill and there is a bus stop close by for those that don't fancy the walk. There is a good market up the hill on Fridays, plus other shops, etc. The apartment is also very close to various bus-stops for those that fancy trips out to other towns (Malaga, Marbella, Mijas, etc).
The apartment itself is absolutely lovely and stocked with the necessary appliances. Lovely and clean, well laid out and the large roof terrace (with chairs and sun-loungers) is excellent. There is a nice large pool downstairs - which also has a lifeguard on duty. Although it is a penthouse apartment (hence the great roof terrace), there are two lifts for those who don't fancy nipping up and down the stairs.
We shall be returning to Benalmadena in due course and I guarantee we shall be checking to see if this apartment is available to book.
To summarise, absolutely excellent.
