This Bayfield cabin is lovely. It is perfect for a couple. It has a well-stocked kitchen, great views of the woods, and is well appointed. However, there is just one bedroom/bed. This property sleeps 2, not 4 as the description claims. Upon arrival we understood the leather couch and a roomy armchair with ottoman in the living room were supposed to be for sleeping. Evenings were beautiful (though punctuated by the neighbors shooting off rounds of ammunition and teenagers next door tearing around next door on their ATVs.) Down the road, some guys decorated their yard van with "NO TRESPASSING" in large red paint. The description implies the cabin as access to Raspberry Bay beach, which it does not. Annoying also was the 40-page booklet of rules, underscoring the need to conserve water. It was stressful to be SO VERY MINDFUL of every drop of water we used, due not to drought, but the fact that it is expensive for the owner to empty the holding tank. There is a camcorder trained on the holding tank that intermittently relays pictures of the tank, but also has a good view of the driveway, which was creepy. For the price, which is quite high, and we were pretty disappointed.
