"The room was clean, attractive, and inline with the Victorian period when the Holbrooke Hotel was the place to be in the area. I was especially pleased that there was no TV (I'm sure you could order one), which made my stay very peaceful."

"This is such a wonderful hotel. We love staying here and enjoying the old world feel with the modern service. Debbie at the front desk was wonderful, and our room was warm and comfortable. Love the bar and restaurant, so beautiful! Fabulous service. I highly recommend staying here to truly enjoy the charm of Nevada City. "

"Breakfast could be better. Never saw the manager. The soft boiled eggs only egg option were not soft boiled. Clear yokk still. Potatoes cold. No water dispenser. Called manager iI was told only eggs prepared on the weekend. Had to micrwave my eggs after figuring to where the toaster and microwave were behind the counter. I was handling things to the point another guest gave me their room because they thought I worked there. Helped others on what was going on."
