"House mostly as described, nice location in a quiet neighborhood, but close to Brunswick center. Window A/C units in the bedrooms and living rooms kept the entire living space comfortable during our stay. Cons: house is "surface clean" but needs a deep clean (quite a bit of dirt/dust on the floor/under the living room rug and couch, on the windowsills etc.), which made pet toys get a bit gross. Not super-well equipped in the kitchen (e.g. no spatulas, oven-safe cookware, paper towels)."

"The smell of the property was quite unpleasant. It had a urine smell. Large black ants alive and dead were in the living area and kitchen. The air unit in the bedroom was extremely loud. The dishwasher was extremely loud also. We opted the leave after one night."

"Arriving at Orchid Harbor and taking in the view, sound, and smell of the ocean across the lawn makes all of the daily stresses of the mainland melt away. The century old house is charming, welcoming, and comforting. It feels like you are staying with good friends or family. With all of the living spaces, it feels roomy and cozy at the same time and wraps around you like a hug. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. There are two bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs....

"We had a wedding in town which was about 3 miles away- easy drive. The place was clean but rustic. Pet friendly which was very important to us. John communicated well/ a really beautiful spot waking up to beautiful views!"

"The house has 3 large bedrooms and a large backyard. It is private without being secluded. We were glad that we could bring our dogs! The house had everything we needed and a lot of extras. Full kitchen with everything needed to cook, etc. very clean as well. We visited several beaches in Harpswell. They are mostly rocky, with some sandy areas so my granddaughter could dig. Also some nice hikes close by. The area is beautiful."
