"Loved the laid back nature of the place- no front desk Just arrive, take a life jacket and pull out a canoe and get busy enjoying the amazing lake. Nothing fussy about the place. Restaurant was delicious/ top notch food. Low key staff that help anyway they can but don’t get in way. Firewood and all you need to enjoy your evening in quiet. "This is a great old hotel that was just transitioned to a new owner the day before we stayed for two nights. This created a had a few issues, our initial room was missing a screen on the main window - the staff made it right for us by moving us to another room - an upgrade from where we had booked. "The property is very nice and well maintained. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. We enjoyed the heated plunge pool many times during our stay. Kris was very responsive to any of our questions. The property is located within a few miles of numerous hikes. The area is quiet in the off season, so restaurant selection was a bit limited, but a great BBQ place is next door."

"This place is awesome! I feel like the pictures don’t really do it justice. The kitchen is wide open to the family room with a great island and the dining room table sits 8-10 ppl. It’s so close to town, as well, BUT it doesn’t feel like it. The property manager, Jason, was so prompt with my questions, and was a true professional. I HIGHLY recommend this sweet house!"

"My daughter and I stayed at Carl’s place for a few days to see the eclipse. The chalet is absolutely lovely and we loved waking up each morning to the sunrise & the trees and the view of the lake…it was magical. Carl was nothing but wonderful and is there to make your stay memorable. Would definitely recommend!"

"We had the privilege of staying here with our family over Christmas. The furniture was comfortable so we could just relax and enjoy. The gas fireplace was a nice touch. The grill was great as we did a BBQ for the whole family. We had a terrific time here with family and relaxing. I will say that the pictures do make the cabin look larger than it actually is."

"We are skiers so are gone early in the morning and do not return until later in the evening. We eat outside except for breakfast in the morning. We bring our own sheets and towels. We removed the existing sheets on the beds and set aside for washing. All blankets are folded and left on beds for complete airing. We fold up rug so it doesn’t get dirty during our stay.
