Spacious traditional wooden cabin with a nice quiet setting on Kangaroo Lake. Adequate amenities (including for cooking meals) for a family and for a week of vacation. Well located adjacent to a somewhat busy road, but close to the center of Baileys Harbor. Upon arrival, we noted that the home was not fully cleaned, which we notified the owners. Additionally, the small motor boat was missing its propeller (unknown before arrival) and the part was on order (discovered after consulting the owners). The garage door was left open due to accidental cutting of the electrical wires, which we found out after we notified the owners as well. The house is listed as having air conditioning, but technically there is only one window unit in the upstairs bedroom with two beds. Due to the unusually cooler climate during our week; this wasn’t a problem. However, I could see the house being fairly hot during primetime summer. The family used the canoe and kayaks when able (pretty windy during our stay). We enjoyed the option for fishing on the dock (we brought our own equipment), grilling outside, as well as the nearby campfire. Overall, we had a good week.
