Amazing location very secluded and quiet. The drive was wild but once there, loved the peacefulness of it.

Cabin had comfortable beds and thankfully plenty of fans. Unfortunately ran out of toilet paper first night. Host voicemail not set up and no instructions for Wi-Fi password or TV dish. Friendly cats on the front porch. Keep in mind front door could lock behind you. Nearest grocery is 45 min at a Valero gas station. Excellent food at Pinehurst Lodge bar and grill on the way to/from Sequoia. Minor issues aside we enjoyed our stay at this peaceful cabin.

I will start with the good. The home was clean. The host was very nice. The scenery around the home was beautiful. The beds were comfortable. Well stocked with family games. The listing with Expedia is inaccurate. It does not specifically list in the appropriate location that there is no air conditioning. It also list that it is a 37 min drive to the Sequoia National Park. It was close to 2 hours. The grounds at the home had not been maintained in a long time. There were 3 cats outside that try to come into the home. The Dish Network did not work.

Honestly- don’t go here. It could be such a beautiful place and maybe was at some point, but now it’s a lawsuit waiting to happen. The surrounding properties are beautiful and outside is peaceful. The cabin, itself, is infested by mice. From what I could tell, the mice own it now. It is by the grace of God that my 6 yr old and I ended up okay, after everything. This place is in the mountains. Secluded. No cell service. The key was not where it was supposed to be. There were NO instructions inside, including no information about the WiFi. Thankfully a previous guest had written the password down in the guest book. NO CENTRAL HEAT OR AIR. This was not explained in the listing. It was 40 degrees outside. We used the wood burning stove to keep warm. When we went outside to get more firewood, the door auto-locked behind us. We did not know it did that. Car keys inside the house and everything. Thankfully, with the help of someone else, I got ahold of the owner and she came and let us in. But then, the mice! Droppings everywhere. Heard them scurrying around the ceiling at night. Saw one run across the floor. Disgusting. We couldn’t sleep. I’m not trying to be rude. I’m all for roughing it, but everyone should fully understand what they’re getting into. It wasn’t safe with the lack of information and it was unsanitary with the mice. This listing should honestly be removed from hotels.com. Oh and there was a frog on the coffee pot.

The first night we arrived we were greeted by cows that came near the house, and there was a welcome gift that made our day from our king travel. The home had a true country cabin feel. All the beds had comfortable mattresses & pillows with clean bedding. Kitchen and bathroom was stocked and very clean. The kitchen had all cooking and dish ware for use. There was also a full size refrigerator. The living room area with dinning area was clean and spacious. The wifi was strong and the TV had all the streaming companies available. The surrounding property was It was an hour drive to Sequoia National Park (we went to General Sherman), and 40 minutes to Kings Canyon. We really had a relaxing and peaceful stay.
