"The owners met us on arrival and gave us a tour showed us how to work the heater where to find things they were just amazing! They gave us our pin to mark our home on the map of all of their visitors and then brought us eggs and waffles in the morning made fresh from there free range chickens."

"The parking was slightly confusing but we didn't end up having any issues. We were under the impression this would be more of an entire house with a kitchen, the pictures are deceiving. It is just a room. It was still great for our needs. The bed was comfortable and we just loved the bathroom! There weren't any towels when we arrived so we weren't able to shower after hiking all day but when we woke up there were some outside our door. We did book very last minute. "The Finegold Nugget provided delightful, well-appointed accomodations (more than expected, with the assortment of dishes and flatware also provided). Beautiful room and beautiful grounds. We had a very relaxing weekend, which was the goal! If I had any complaint, it might be that the mini-fridge in the room was more mini than I was expecting. We filled it up! And as a suggestion, possibly get some mini ice trays to put in the freezer so the guests could have ice available if they wished. ...

"This is a country home, pure and simple- it’s an hour away from groceries and there’s stuff in the yard. But that’s the magic of this place…quiet, surrounded by nature (including Forest Service- and National parkland, bright stars, and a great place to throw a log in the stove and hang. The kitchen is well equipped (induction stove if you’re bringing an extra large pot for example), and the host was responsive and friendly. We’d definitely stay there again."

"This is the second time we come to this peaceful house. And we plan to continue coming back in the future when we visit Kings Canyon National Park. The house is clean, comfortable and very quiet. We enjoyed spending time in the backyard playing board games at the end of our hikes. In the morning we enjoyed a cup of coffee while listening to the birds.
