A bright and relaxing beach cottage situated just a 4 minute stroll from the clean and uncrowded Brigantine beach makes a perfect family getaway! Enter our 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath home through the enclosed front porch with fully functioning tinted jalousie windows that open to let in the Brigantine breeze. On the porch you will find a seating area perfect for enjoying morning coffee or tea, reading, lounging, or napping. The table area provides a great space to enjoy meals or games. The porch is the perfect place to access the outdoors on rainy days, too! Step through the original front door into open concept living with a recently renovated kitchen and living room and refinished original hardwood flooring throughout the house. The new kitchen has quartz countertops, dimmable lighting fixtures and recessed lighting as well as full size appliances, Appliances include a gas stove with a center burner w/removable griddle, a microwave, refrigerator with water/ice dispenser, and quiet Bosch dishwasher. The cabinets are stocked with plenty of dishes, serveware, glasses, mugs, cutlery, pots & pans, cooking/grilling utensils, and bakeware. Small appliances include, toaster, blender, drip coffee maker, and hand mixer. The dining table comfortablly seats 6 and can be extended to accommodate more using the table leaves that are conveniently stored in the table. The living room is relaxingly filled with natural light from the large windows overlooking the enclosed front porch. You will find a sectional sofa providing plenty of seating, a remote controlled ceiling fan, 55” smart tv, and dimmable lighting. It is a great space to unwind and snuggle. All bedrooms and bathrooms have been freshly painted. The main bathroom is bright and spacious. It has a double shower stall with a multi-function handheld shower head. The primary bedroom is bright and airy. Get a good night of sleep on the queen-size memory foam bed while enjoying a nice breeze from the front window. The bedroom has a remote controlled ceiling fan and a large dresser, armoire, and double closet that provide ample space for clothing. The sun-filled second bedroom overlooks the backyard. Open the windows at night and listen to the ocean in the distance as you enjoy sleeping on a full-size memory foam bed with a twin trundle bed. The dresser and closet provide plenty of space for clothing and luggage. The third bedroom is a sunfilled, light and airy room that has a full-size bed, ceiling fan, TV w/roku, and small walk-in closet. The closet contains shelves and clothing hooks that provide storage for luggage and clothing. WIthin the room you will also find a work space dappled by sunlight. A power strip is provided in case needed. The laundry room is adjacent to the kitchen and provides access to the backyard. It contains a full size washer and dryer, clothing drying rack, cleaning supplies as needed and additional storage cabinets with beach towels.The half bathroom is through the laundry room conveniently located next to the back door. Walk out the back door onto the deck with a natural gas grill and outdoor eating area with table and chairs that seats 6. The deck overlooks the large backyard that is perfect for playing, sunbathing or relaxing in additional seating areas. While on the deck or in the yard listen to the ocean, the church bell's melody at noon and 6pm, and on a breezy day the band playing at LaScala's Beach Bar! In the backyard you will also find the enclosed, oversized outdoor shower with both fixed and handheld shower heads, grab bar, and non-skid floor strips. The enclosure provides plenty of space to comfortably wash away the sand. salt, and sunscreen after a day at the beach. There are multiple hooks to hang towels, clean and used clothing, as well as shelves to store toiletries, and ample space to dry and dress. A solar powered motion light is installed within the shower and provides perfect lighting for a nighttime shower!
Beach chairs, an umbrella, beach towels, and beach tags are provided to help you enjoy the beautiful Brigantine beaches. We are a quick 4 minute walk to beach access and conveniently located near a guarded beach. (4th Street). Listen for the ice cream man's bell from the dunes and head over for a cool treat! Make sure to bring your fishing gear to partake in some surf fishing. Grab everything you need at Ridtide Bait and Tackle Shop located downtown. If you prefer bay activities, bring your boat and/or water toys to drop in at the public boat ramp located a straight 1.5 block walk from the house. There are wave runner rentals on the island, too!
Brigantine is one of NJ’s most charming beach towns whose downtown is a quick walk from our house. Enjoy the multiple sundries, art, and clothing shops, delicious restaurants, Rita’s Water Ice, Soulberri's for coffee and smoothies, the arcade and Wawa. Head over to the Brigantine Farmer’s Market every Saturday for farm fresh favorites and local artisan vendors. Be sure to indulge in some ice cream at Richmond’s or Aunt B’s!
If you prefer a break from the beach; visit the Marine Mammal Stranding Center, Brigantine Historical Society, walk the seawall, meander along the North Brigantine Natural Area, or play mini golf or pickleball at the Brigantine Community Center. Have kids? Then head to Shark Park where you will find a playground for tots and one for big kids, as well as ball fields. If you would rather shoot hoops, practice your soccer skills, or run on a track, then head to the Brigantine Community School where you will also find another fun playground. All places are located 5 - 10 minutes by car from our house or bring your bikes and get around the island!
There are also many attractions and places to visit within an hour drive of quaint Brigantine - Ocean City (30 minutes), The Wildwoods (55 minutes), Historic Cape May (55 minutes), Cape May Zoo (free & 45 minutes), Storybook Land (30 minutes), Smithville Shoppes (25 minutes), Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge (25 minutes). Atlantic City is a quick 10 minute drive. There you can enjoy outlet shopping, a tour of the historic Absecon Lighthouse, a variety of restaurants, the casinos or spend the day at the new Island Waterpark.
Brigantine is the perfect beach town to do as little or as much as you want while still living your best life! Come and enjoy it at our beach cottage as much as we do!
