The Avant Garde

In the heart of Athens and more specifically at Plaka, this sun filled apartment consists of 3 double bedrooms, 1 normal sized bedroom, 1 living - dining room, a study room, a fully equiped kitchen, 2 bathrooms, a guest toilet and a big terrace.
This neoclassical apartment is one of a kind! its uniqueness derives from its location and the exquisite and elegant style of the apartment and building.
Located a breath away from Syntagma square and in the heart of the historical and cultural area of Athens. The Acropolis museum, the ancient market, Monastiraki sq.,Temple of Zeus, Kalimarmaro stadium, etc. are a few minutes away.
All conveniences, restaurants, supermarket, coffee shops, bars, are within walking distance.
For luxury shoppers, fashion brands such as Louis Vuitton, Dior, Prada etc. are located at Voukourestiou str., a 10 minute walk. The Ermou str. market is 5 minutes away.
The Syntagma square metro station is 5 minutes away and provides access to all Athens suburbs, to the airport, as well as to the main port of the city, Piraeus. If one wants to feel close to nature, they can visit Zappeion, the National Garden, which is 5 minutes away and the Lycabettus hill.
Once inside the building, there is a marble staircase and an elevator which takes you to the 4th floor where the apartment is. The entrance of the apartment opens to a mirrored corridor with two bronze sconces. On the right hand side of the corridor, the living room is decorated with a harmonious contrast of old and new luxurious pieces. On one hand there are chandeliers, antiques and authentic pieces of art resembling an old aristocratic vibe, and on the other there is a modern plush velvet
Maxalto couch providing uttermost comfort. The spacious living room consists of a 50 inch TV, a dining table seating eight people, a comfortable couch and two big armchairs with plenty of space left. There are four air conditioned bedrooms with nice decorated wallpapers matching the tone of each room. One modern bathroom has a walk-in shower head and the other bathroom is made from marble keeping its old essence. All rooms are open to the terrace, where the Acropolis view
is prominent.

Beautiful apartment! Looked exactly how presented in pictures. Huge balcony which we loved. Very clean, very comfy beds and great location. We really appreciate how easy our host made things. Would definitely stay there again!

This is a beautiful apartment. You will not meet nicer people than the owners. The purple couch is so cute and comfy. Plenty of room indoors and on the beautiful wrap around porch. Restaurants and shops are in walking distance- the food everywhere is outstanding! WiFi in the home was great. There is some outdoor construction and repairs going on at the moment that resulted in some hiccups, but the owners were very accommodating about the issues.

Litsa was very helpful and prompt with our questions and requests during our stay & throughout the reservation process. The place was larger than the impression the photos gave. Very spacious & comfortable for our group of 7 adults. Our group spent a lot of time out on the balcony, when we were not out in Athens. WiFi seemed fast and is good for those that need to work remotely 10 minute walk with luggage from Syntagma Metro station Easy secure entry Would rent again for our next trip to Athens

It’s unusual to find such a spacious apartment with a gorgeous wraparound terrace & new appliances in major European cities! Very impressive and the view of the Parthenon is stunning!

Great condo on higher floor with huge wrap around balcony. Walking distance to museums, restaurants and shopping. Safe neighborhood and secured entry. Would definitely recommend.

Avant Garde gets an A+ rating on everything. The location is amazing. The expansive balcony was perfect for taking in the view and enjoying the surroundings. Each time I reached out to the owners, they got right back to me. We were greeted with charm and finesse. This will be my residence of choice on any trip back to Athens and I will be sure to recommend

Everything was perfect with our stay at this apartment. Great location. Excellent pre-arrival communication. Accommodating hospitality. Plenty of room for our family to spread out. Immaculately clean. Athens was experiencing a major heatwave while we were there. The apartment's a/c worked perfectly. I absolutely recommend this apartment and would stay again if I return to Athens. David

Beautiful apartment surrounded by restaurants and shopping. It was the perfect location for our family to see the historic sites, explore the markets, and enjoy happy hour on the balcony. My kids loved having thier coffee and baklava every morning on the balcony. The apartment was very comfortable, spacious, and has all of the amenities we needed. We highly recommend the Avant Garde!

This place was within walking distance of everything we wanted to see! Getting to and from the airport was a pain, but not the fault of the lodging at all. Lots of space for our group (2 couples 2 singles) to relax and unwind, but also socialize and enjoy the views. Kitchen was limited but perfect for our needs. Fantastic space with lots of character in a character filled city.
