"We chose The Market Tavern because of it's location - it is in the same village where our son, daughter-in-law and new grandson live and we were visiting.
The whole property has been tastefully renovated and is lovely. We had eaten in the pub before but not stayed.
Bampton is a quaint village with plenty of amenities and is well placed for visiting lots of interesting places.
Breakfast was good with cold and cooked choices. Staff were friendly and attentive.

"What a wonderful place to eat and stay! 5 star service from the staff, 5 star food quality and the rooms were immaculate. Breakfast was beautiful every morning with so much choice. This was a break after finishing cancer treatment for me, I wanted a relaxing break and one of the party was gluten free. We were treated like family, one of the party even stayed an extra night! We had a wonderful stay and we will be returning as soon as we can. Thank you, we loved our stay with you. "

"To start with was easy parking and when entering the hotel was greeted with lovely smiley staff. It was lovely and quiet and very chilled not to busy lobby. We was showed to our room and explained what was what. Was nice ,clean and simple. The area is very quiet so sleeping was lovely, the bed was very comfortable but personally I prefer harder pillows ( but just bring one if need be ) surrounding area was clean very spacious. Was overall a great stay and would def come again . "

Only gripe was smell of dog but it is a dog friendly establishment.

This is an expensive area and so expect prices to reflect this, that said you get what you pay for - the Cotswolds is a busy, but stunning location. We will definitely be returning. "A one night sta with my wife. The room was clean and comfortable and my wife really appreciated the black-out curtains. Coffee , tea and water were provided. Bathroom was clean and we were able to have a decent shower. The pressure is not too strong but adequate enough and the water was hot. There are extensive grounds but it was raining one day and extremely hot the next so couldn't take advantage of a stroll.

"We had a wonderful stay at the Lakes. It’s such a beautiful setting with so many activities on offer including a spa. We ate in the restaurant and it really is an experience- the food and service were outstanding. Bedrooms are beautiful - decor and furnishings.
