"The Lodge is not for everyone as it has the quirkiness of anything that is old. Floors are uneven, doors don't always fit, lighting is terrible for reading, ( bring your own reading light ) there is no AC or an elevator, yet we love this place and return once a year. Surprisingly, since there are only two places to eat in the village, a pizza place and the Lodge, one would guess that the Lodge could get away with mediocre food, but that is not the case. "front desk lady (leslie?) was very kind and hooked us up with an updated room, when i accidentally got a communal bathroom instead of a kitchenette (& there wasn’t an opening for one). there was a cancellation & she helped set us up immediately. super sweet & knowledgeable of the area. give her a raise (& some totchos!!!) They helped us make it special for him in every way, with absolutely NO notice from me. They just went above and beyond, and the property was great! We’ll definitely be back."
