We stayed for 2 nights in a lodge room. Nice peaceful setting, quite easy to find. We arrived at 8pm having booked a table for dinner at 8.30pm, we were the only guests eating in the restaurant at that time. Dinner we opted for fish and chips and a halloumi burger, very nice quality of food. Our visit was in order to visit Leeds Castle which was just a 10 minute drive from the hotel so convenient. Cleanliness of the room was okay but not brilliant, dust in the skirting boards by the door and seemed not to have been hoovered very well. I only notice this because I struggle with using seated mirrors so used the full length one on the back of the door. Bathroom, again clean enough but little things obviously gone unnoticed like residue in the bath/shower. Overall our stay was good and was suitable for what we needed.

Lovely quiet spacious room. Great breakfast choice and quality. Only rated 3 star and could easily achieve 4 star with a little more attention to cleanliness of room which was below average. Kettle was dirty and full of stagnant water and I ended up with a ladies stud earring in my teacup which had somehow ended up in the kettle. Dust on some surfaces. Shower not clean.

Rooms were clean and quiet. Grounds and parking easily accessible and well kept. Food for both the evening party and breakfast was superb. Well done all round Weald of Kent.

Poor all round
Stayed in a twin room in 'The lodge'. Very tired interior and cold- there didn't seem to be any heating and the building is a 5 minute walk outside from the reception/ restaurant etc. Cleanliness pretty disappointing with some grim looking stains. I booked for two nights around a week in advance- usually I would pay through hotels.com so they can handle payment and cancellation terms/ admin is straightforward. The hotel rejected that and said I had to pay at the venue, so I accepted that. My plans then changed (as they often do with work stays) and so I needed to cancel the second night- I notified the reception of this when I arrived and asked to just have the one night stay instead. They said I had to pay for both nights anyway and then recover the money from Hotels.com. Hotels.com app didn't allow for cancellation as the stay had already begun at this point, so couldn't proceed. I checked out the following morning as expected, and the staff then told me that I was outside the cancellation policy and could no longer even get a refund through Hotels.com. None of this seems remotely necessary to me- I hadn't paid anything before arriving and they insisted I paid for two nights simply because it had been booked that way. Pretty officious and poor customer service if you ask me. I won't be going back and wouldn't recommend. Not really sure what's so difficult about being flexible and trying to help. The restaurant's fairly nice though...

Thank you for your review, we apologise that the lodge was not to your liking. The heating and air conditioning is the same unit, the setting just needs changing to heat. We no longer take payment directly from hotels.com as they do not provide us with the information needed for our secure payment system. As you booked through a 3rd party unfortunately cancellation has to be done by them.

One night stay
Accommodation is good. Well laid out with everything you need. Rooms are a little small which may bother some but I found it no problem. Being a golf hotel I can’t see many folk staying more than 2-3 nights unless for an event at the club. Evening meal in the restaurant was excellent and breakfast was lovely too. every member of staff was brilliant. They were busy as it is a golf course but I was was always served by friendly staff who could not have been more helpful. This goes for the manager who checked me in as well. All in all a great stay and would stay again. Thank you to all the staff.

The staff are all fantastic. Nothing is too much to ask. You are so warmly welcomed. Food at the hotel is definitely worth having. A glad of wine in the outdoor area just listening to the trees and the wildlife, so nice from the hustle and bustle of city life. Highly recommend to anyone who need a break from the normal.

If you like golf, or a gym it's good. Otherwise paper thin walls and bit deteriorated in places take the shine off. Extractor in bathroom not working. Reported first day and not fixed. Shower bracket broken so could only use hand held. Good view from upstairs room of dump site for broken furniture.

Pleasant stay
Stayed in room 34 that was located on first floor of main building. Nice room with comfortable bed. When we arrived informed there was a golf day with 100 taking part so anticipated noisy night. Pleasantly surprised to have a quiet night. Reasonable breakfast.

Weald of Kent overnight
Wasn’t clear when booked that twin room was in separate building and not part of main hotel building. Regardless, service was good, gym impressive, breakfast was good. Rooms were perhaps a bit small and dated but perfectly functional. Would stay here again.

Thank you for your review, we are pleased you enjoyed your stay. We have 2 hotels on site one with standard rooms (where you stayed) and one with superior rooms. Both have twin rooms and the superior rooms are closer to the clubhouse as well as being slightly bigger and a newer building.

We had a small issue with the first room but the staff were extremely helpful and very quick to respond. Spent a very peaceful night. Golf course views from restaurant were lovely. Supper was very good. One breakfast was a little cold but otherwise a lovely meal.

Great stay, friendly staff and would stay again
Husband and son stayed here for my sons birthday treat. Husband has stayed previously with myself. Son absolutely loved it here, so did husband again, Food was delicious, also they loved playing Golf there and the use of gym. Staff friendly and helpful.

Downgraded score for non functioning Wi-Fi throughout stay in both main hotel and room in lodge. Hotel is I. A data black spot so Wi-Fi essential to have communications.

Friendly staff. Clean generous rooms with comfy bed + tea/coffee making in rooms. Set in lovely peaceful countryside. Good value for money and breakfast included. What more can you ask for. Will definitely be back when staying in area again. Don't stay in Ashford if you can drive a few miles into the countryside like we did.

Great for a stopover
A handily sized attractive Kentish-looking building housing comfortable hotel rooms. So nice being able to open the windows pretty wide (unusual these days!) and to wake up to the sound of birdsong and a lovely green view. Bed and bedding all fine - slept well. Bathroom fine - at first was not certain about the shorter P-shaped bath but it was extremely comfortable. As ever, so glad to have a kettle for making coffee etc and a desk and chair.

Lovely stay, hotel staff very friendly and prior to our trip had very good communication and answered any questions we had promptly. The room we had was large and there was air con which was lovely! The bathroom a tiny bit aged but it done the job, everything appeared nice and clean! The only problem we did find was that breakfast was advertised between 7 and half 10, we came down at 9am which is lucky we did as the bar staff packed the breakfast away by half 9. There was no directions as to whether we seat ourselves and had to call a waitress over to get us a pot of tea but she seemed confused we even asked? I'm not sure if that's the norm though as unfortunately for the hotel the WiFi and Phone lines had gone down in the area so maybe they were preoccupied. Aside from that feedback we had a lovely stay and when we did ever speak to staff they were always approachable and had a smile!
