We were very pleased with the house. It was a very quiet location, even being close to the road we didn't hear the cars going by. It was exactly as advertised, we especially liked the tongue and groove walls and floor. On a moonless night the stars were incredible and there was a flock of 16 wild turkeys in the yard several days at dusk and dawn. The two big Toms with them were a site to see.The owner was very accommodating and responded to my questions promptly. The only problem we had was getting around using the GPS in our vehicle. The mountains made it difficult for the towers to triangulate and we ended up at the wrong place a couple of times. I recommend giving yourself extra time if you are going somewhere and need to be there at an exact time. There are a lot of quick turns until you get on the main highways and it can be confusing at times. The good news is if you miss a turn you can usually take the next street. The roads are under repair in a lot of places from Hurricane Helene, so it's another reason to give yourself plenty of time. If we go back to Asheville I definitely want to stay in this home again.
