The Spartan @ Wild Hair Farm is a 45 ft. long 1950s vintage trailer built by J. Paul Getty set among massive oaks overlooking a one acre organic farm located just 5 minutes from the historic Village of Arroyo Grande and 12 minutes from downtown SLO.
Recently renewed with care to preserve and enhance its historic charm, the Spartan is like an Airstream, only bigger and better! The Spartan is like a tiny house, but vintage and so much more swanky!
We live on the property right next door and are available for anything you need. At the same time we offer self check in via a smart lock and desire to respect your privacy. We want The Spartan to be a special and relaxing retreat for you!
• The Spartan @ Wild Hair Farm is one of a growing collection of unique, one-of-a-kind Airbnb experiences hosted by family-owned Wild Hair Retreats in the beautiful Corralitos Road valley.
• The Spartan is surrounded by micro farms and horse ranches. It's wide open, private and peaceful, yet just a beautiful a 5 minute drive to the historic village of Arroyo Grande, a 12 minute drive to downtown SLO, and a 10 minute drive to the beach. Truly the best of town & country.

My stay at The Spartan was overwhelmingly positive, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway from the fast-paced city life.The trailer was clean, comfortable, and surprisingly spacious. Susie & Tim have thoughtfully provided everything you might need to make your stay more enjoyable. From filtered water for refilling bottles, to dishes and utensils for preparing fresh produce from nearby fruit stands, it was clear they wanted me to feel at home. I also enjoyed a couple of meals in the trailer, eating take out by the cozy wall table, with a view of the trees, garden, and rolling hills.Although it was a little chilly during my stay, I appreciated the portable heater provided. I also took the liberty of exploring the drawers and closets, and found useful items I hadn't even thought to pack--first aid supplies, an iron, scissors, and more. I was even relieved to find soap, as I had forgotten to bring my own. Communication with Susie & Tim was a breeze. About a week before my visit, they sent me an e-guide that I highly recommend all future guests review. It not only explains the trailer's amenities but also offers great suggestions for local vineyards, restaurants, coffee houses, and recreational activities.For those who prefer to stay out and enjoy the tranquility of the trailer, there are plenty of books to read, and the natural light streaming through the windows makes the living room a perfect spot to relax.

Best relaxing place
This is our 2nd time staying in the Spartan trailer and it just gets better. Everything from the location to the supplies in the kitchen is perfect. For those looking for a place to kick back and relax, you can't do better. Period ... and if you don't know the California Central Coast, please understand that it is the best part of the state. Beach, wine country, enjoyable hills and back roads ... Recommended without reservation.

Beautiful Respite Among the Oak Trees
The Spartan on the Wild Hair Farm offers the best of comfort in a rural setting. Just five minutes outside of Arroyo Grande, The Spartan is a meticulously renovated and furnished 1950’s mobile home set among the oak trees on a farm. The Spartan’s design allows for a spacious and comfortable living room adjacent to a lovely kitchen with modern appliances. We love cooking and hanging out on our vacations and this home had everything we needed to do just that. In addition, because of the Spartan’s unique design, there is a comfortable sitting room with a tv and bar area. Sitting in this room you feel separated and yet accessible to the other rooms. The bathroom, proportional for a mobile home, even includes a shower with full bathtub and with a window on the far wall of bathroom. Lastly, the bedroom includes a very comfortable king bed and closet. The three windows in the bedroom on the western side of the mobile home keep you connected to the beautiful oak trees. outside. The rural coastal location brings ample sunshine and cool nights. We will stay there again and have shared with all our friends this gem among the oaks in rural Arroyo Grande. We loved it!

The Spartan is a gem!
This property was just as great as we had hoped! It feels secluded and rural, but you are minutes away from the quaint town of Arroyo Grande and most importantly, Trader Joe's! Tim and Susie were great hosts, with a handwritten note greeting us on arrival. The kitchen was well equipped and there was even foil and zip lock bags for our leftovers. The furnishings are stylish yet cozy. We also enjoyed the fire pit while watching the horses as the sun set over the hills. If you are interested in visiting wine country, it's only a short drive. We loved it. Highly recommend!

Fun Space and Nice Stay

Absolutely perfect.
