"Lovely friendly staff, excellent location for the New House Farm wedding venue nearby. Room was quite basic and old fashioned but as pictured in photos. Was great to have a proper bath in the room! The cooked breakfast was fantastic I was very sad I couldn’t finish it all! Would stay again!"

"We have stayed here three times now & love the friendly homely atmosphere. The apartment is perfect for me & my son and he loves the swimming pool! The gym has plenty of equipment & my treadmill faces a field of cows & the odd pig which was lovely! Will definitely be staying again"

"Burde have været opdateret for tyve år siden. Blev ombooket fra et værelse fordi det ikke virkede til et andet hvor toilettet ikke kunne skylle ud og vinduet blæste op om natten pga blæst. Alt var meget slidt og der lugtede indelukket.

"This was the best B&B by far I have ever stayed in. The room was spotless and a very comfy bed.
The full Cumbrian breakfast was delicious and plenty of it, There was also a good alternative menu aswell.
But if you decide to have an evening meal you are in for a real treat. Darryl is a trained Chef and the meals he serves are amazing."

"Booked a double room but got a room with 3 single beds. Not the end of the world but not what I booked.
Beds were uncomfortable. Mattress was really thin, when you sat on it you were basically sat on the bed base and when you laid on the bed you could feel the springs in your back and side.
The walls were wafer thin, you can hear the tap running and toilet etc from the room next door. Also the water in the bathroom made a right racket when you ran the tap, shower or flushed the toilet.

Unfortunately, same desk clerk told us hotel was in Dumfries which has a road with a similar which led u s to council housing at midnight.
