Hotel i Amzough Chetoui, Lalla Takarkoust

"Overall a nice hotel with many facilities and activities, helpfull staff and many different food options. The hotel is located a bit from Marrakech city but its only a 15 minutes drive. However the rooms was not very sound proof so there was a lot of noise from the halls and the neighbour rooms. The buffet could be improved with mandatory sanitizer and/or disposable gloves. I saw a lot of other guests putting food back etc., so I ended up only taking food from the staff controlled food stations as I got sick for two days after eating from the buffet. "

"We've stayed at this hotel a couple of times before and had good experiences, but unfortunately this time was a downgrade in many aspects. We were given one of the smaller family rooms for four people, and honestly, it should not be offered for that number of guests. It felt cramped and uncomfortable for a family of four. The buffet area was constantly lacking basic items like plates, cups, and glasses. At breakfast, it could take up to 15 minutes just to get a coffee cup. Some guests had to use soup bowls for coffee or glasses for juice, which really shouldn't happen at a hotel of this standard. They even ran out of ice cream while children were queuing. At the bar, I asked for Moroccan tea, but was told they couldn't make it due to how long it would take – even though I had already waited 25 minutes just to place an order. Towels were never available at 11.30 you have to go and pick up in morning. "Stayed for two nights, but the experience didn’t match the 5-star rating. Service was slow and unresponsive, with simple requests needing multiple follow-ups. Check-in was disorganized, and we waited too long to get to our room. Breakfast was disappointing—limited variety, stale bread, and poor-tasting juices. The ‘msemen’ station looked promising, but the line moved too slowly. The room was clean and had good AC, but that was about it. Overall, not worth the price, and I wouldn’t recommend it for a genuine 5-star stay…"
